Best watch winder for the money?

I'm finally getting around to buying a watch winder... I want to get something that's nice, but not ridiculously expective. Either a single or a double would be find.

What do the fine members of this forum recommend?

I just bought a Wolf Viceroy--great winder IMHO. I had an Orbita for years though and it was top notch!

I can't see the point of a watch winder, just another marketing ploy IMO. AD's havnt got all their watches on winders. Can somebody technical explain to me any long term benifit.

If you have several watches that you like rotate through, it's saves you from having to set the calendar on the one you're going to be wearing each day.

You clearly don't own a perpetual or annual calendar--if you did --you would have to have one. When you have watches with multiple complications a winder is a must. As for a simple movement you do not need one but they are nice to have anyway if you have a large collection.

The best watch winder cost nothing its your own wrist,myself cannot see any point in watch winders,with any watch with just a date complication.Not a problem to let a watch rest and lets be honest it must take all of 1 minute to rewind and reset a simple date feature watch.

i purchased a diplomat 2 watch winder on amazon last yr ...cant remember how much but it was definitely much less than 100.00....and it works quiet and well..;)

I purchased this off of eBay and I'm quite happy with it. Runs quiet, bi-directional, rest periods, 2 or 3 different settings for turns a day. About $150.00. I like it a lot and would purchase it again. But for $150, the materials are commensurate with the price.
