Are there RSS feeds on TRF???
Just wondering. I'm starting to get into RSS feeds which are really handy for my phone. Make browsing really quick.

O.K. RSS has now been implemented.
If you look at your browser and you see in the URL address line, at the end, a blue symbol to the right. If you click on that you will be taken to a new page and that will give you the option of subscribing to RSS. RSS is an updating service of new threads and you can get this very easily on your mobile telephone. You can also see it by any of these: If you set this option to 'yes', you can call it by going to: http://www.rolexforums.com/external.php?type=rss http://www.rolexforums.com/external.php?type=rss1 http://www.rolexforums.com/external.php?type=rss2

Man it is a little bit complicated, but if you are in the "Rolex Discussion Forum and you click the blue rss symbol a drop box should come down giving you the option to select which forum you wish to subscribe.
I'll try to post some photos to make it more clear.

You can see the RSS symbol identified in the photo below of the top part of my browser.
rss.jpg Now if you are in any forum, apart from the home page, you can select to receive a subscription of just that sub-forum. For instance say you only want updates on the posts/threads in the Rolex Discussion Forum (subforum). Then you go to that forum and click on the blue RSS symbol. You should then see a drop down box that gives you the option to subscribe to just the sub-forum or the entire website. I hope this helps a little.

Steve, cool, I see the RSS symbol at the top of my browser. I still don't get it though. How does it make browsing easy on a mobile phone. I have a BlackBerry Pearl and I can browse the web just fine.

You should be able to find an RSS program on your mobile phone. It will have the RSS symbol as it's icon. They are on most windows mobile or other phones with internet connection, like iPhone.
The basics of RSS are explained in this video: RSS can be used on your computer as well as a mobile phone. In relation to the Rolex Forums, you can subscribe to and RSS Feed for: (a) the entire website; and/or (b) a particular forum (eg Open Forum); and/or (c) a particular thread. To get (a) click on the RSS icon whilst your browser is on on the home page. To get (b) click on the RSS icon whilst your browser is on the particular forum you wish to subscribe; To get (c) click on the RSS icon whilst your browser is open at the particular thread you wish to subscribe.

Looks like the RSS feed died just over a week back.
Any chance of getting it smacked it with a stick to prod it back to life? |
