Sry dont mind me asking but you waited a few years for the 5205g? I just got the exact same 5205g recently and didn't know the waiting time for the model is so long.

Awesome! Although I am biased, mine is apparently coming in at the end of the month :). My first Patek as well!

Something must be in the water - a lot of love for the 5205G lately…

I think there's alot of value for this model. Compared to the the grey price of the 5711 or most aquanaut/nautilus which are supposedly entry level watches, the 5205g has a complication, is in gold, has a blue dial and is cheaper? Its definitely a winner imo

Thanks again to everybody for the congratulations. My wife is very excited and feels that this is just a beautiful watch!! Can’t wait to get it in my hands next month.

Value? I don’t know that comparing it to a 5711, with all of the associated hype in the aftermarket price, is very useful. Let’s face it, the Nautilus is actually “cheaper” (by retail price) then this highly complicated beauty, and should be!
Hype, inflation of gray market prices, and limited supply, are much more responsible for the crazy prices, than is the “value” of the watch.

Oh, my!!
From the look of your signature, I’d love to get the info on YOUR AD, anytime!!
Pepsi meteorite, and my grail 116508/green??? Whew!

I tend to do business with 2 different AD’s here in California, and I’m seeing the trend that most AD’s are really trying to work with locals more and more. Actually I really like that!

From your signature, I’m not sure where you live. Feel free to PM me if you wish and we can share some notes!

Apparently, the end of month was an estimate, which estimate was not met! Currently, I’ve shifted to “no time estimate”. Quite frankly, I’m not concerned and am happy to be patient. Usually getting a watch leads me to start thinking about another watch :).

Your watch looks beautiful and I look forward to seeing more pictures! When did you get it? Any first impressions?

Best of luck to you as you await “The Call”!!

It’s really spectacular, all right, but this isn’t a daily wearing piece. That’s what the Batgirl is for (!)

But now, we’re ready to go out to dinner, cause this thing is dying to get shown off at a nice event!!

Love it!!

Really??
You got an extra strap with a deployant clasp, with your 5205???

Please tell me more. Did they “include these” or was it an extra $30k ( I’m joking, of course, but not really….)

Well, they are goodies that I am purchasing (or, well, planning to purchase). I hate wearing a watch without a deployant clasp (plus, let's be honest, the Patek deployant clasp is kind of awesome), for safety reasons, and I really, really love this watch on a blue strap. Ended up ordering the blue/grey strap from the Patek strap catalogue. Probably will change it straight off the black.

I absolutely love this idea!
It hadn’t occurred to me.
Would you be OK telling me what you paid for the clasp and spare strap? I don’t really know the retail costs, but did your AD give you a discount, since you were buying the watch.
Feel free to PM me!
