Speaking of blue...

Saw this relatively low profile IWC release last week and it was, well, interesting... Too large for me, personally, but intriguing none the less...

Really too large? It's 41 mm.

Only 6250

Too large for me. I prefer 34-36 and top out at 38.

IWC is stepping up its game for sure. This blue one and this are next level to what they sold in the past:

True. Only wish the 36 came in this style, or that it has come in the spitfire side case.

The latter would have solved Date alignment issue, too.

The dust between the lugs makes me twitch.

I think they also similarly upped the WR on the BP43. Wonder if that, as opposed to desired aesthetic, led to the size increase?

Well, within a certain (broad) range, it’s all a matter of taste.

I go down to 34mm, but know people with smaller wrists who’d never go below 39/40. Personally, I find my 39mm Mk XVI wearing too large these days.

Hmmm, IWC have been making great, contemporary pilot watches for some time, as the name suggests that's a tribute to the mid '90's 3705.

My 3799 is one of the few watches I regret selling- ceramic and titanium with a clever split second grafted onto the 7750 base.
Was it too big ?- probably for a lot of people, but for those of us with chunkier wrists it was great...
