Plastic Insert on Gold Links?

Was adjusting my watch, and finally was able to back out one screw. (They are tight as hell)

I’ve never seen this little sleeve on the screws? Do they need to remain inside the links?

That's a ceramic sleeve for the links to help prevent stretch.

It’s a pretty massive upgrade from the previous models. Spending this kind of coin I would think that you would have researched it before dismembering the bracelet. No offence meant.

It's the ceramic bushing. Definitely need to remain in the links. Insert it first, then insert the screw

Yep, those are meant to be there to reinforce the links... since gold is a softer material.

You'll note the screws on the removable links also do not show on the non screw head side.

They only started using these with the plat. Daydate2 apparently (from what I’ve read on this forum), before introducing them to the daydate40 in all four metals (and I assume the new daydate36 as well?…not sure though). I’m also not sure if the new full gold and platinum datejust 31 and 28s have them.

try heating the bracelet with a hair dryer next time, it will help to loosen the factory loctite and will break loose much easier

Did you use a hollow ground tipped screwdriver?

Is taking out a screw difficult? Why would one need to research before unscrewing a screw?

Well, I'm not a motorcycle enthusiast so you definitely got me there. I've been to Australia twice but I'd have to give you that as well.

In all honesty, I really didn't mean to offend the OP, although looking back the posts definitely come across that way, so for that I apologize.
