DJ Silver v White Dial [POLL]
I have the option to order a new DJ41 TT YG via my AD and I wanted to pick the white but he put up a compelling argument for the silver dial. Talked to my dads and he says white but we are just basing it off the pics on the ROLEX site
So I would love to see what y’all (owners or / and non owners) thibk between the two and wrist shots absolutely would be a pleasure. Thanks everyone and yes I know “get the one you like” but I don’t have the opportunity to have them face to face on the fly like that hence me coming to the TRF :) P.S. tried to make this a poll but not sure it worked lol anyway look forward to seeing any wfeedback |

I voted before I read. TT I would go white, SS I would go silver. I don’t like the way the silver dials looks against YG.

My pick would actually be the slate Wimbledon dial.

I recently purchased the DJ 41 TT Fluted / Oyster with white stick dial...... Stunning IMO
Tried the silver and champagne with the same set up and neither looked as good as the White. White really pops. |

Recently purchased a TT Fluted Oyster white dial..... really pops
Tried the silver and champagne dial in the same configuration and they looked a little hard to read IMO and there is something about that clean white dial that keeps everything pulled together. |

White all the way. Silver doesn’t work with YG. AD might have had one of those on the back he was looking to dump off, it’s a hard sell.

For YG TT I'd say white. I just bought a RG TT DJ41 with Sundust dial.

Silver for for the symmetry.
If it has to be two tone, don't add a third color (white). The silver dial and stainless on the rest of the watch keep it a two colored watch. |

As an owner of a silver dial DJ (steel) I can’t tell you the dial is a bit of a chameleon. It constantly changes colour in different lighting situations. Sometimes it’s champagne, sometimes more white, and sometimes even salmon.
So silver is my choice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a silver in DJII fluted SS. I would not get another dial colour.
For TT, white is your friend. It makes the YG pop out and makes the appearance more timeless. There’s enough shininess in the bezel, enough in that bracelet if you go jubilee. Too much in the silver dial if you add it in the mix. Defo white. |

I would go white, if silver & white were the only choice.

Is the silver the same silver as is used on the new OP? If so, I think it's a particularly cool dial when paired with YG hands/markers. The reflections of the gold on the dial produces a beautiful color almost like a faded vintage champagne dial.

I prefer the white dial. Super clean looking. The starkness of the dial works well with the metal.

For TT, white. All SS would be a much tougher choice.

I think those light dialed datejusts are very old fashioned. If you are young or want to be young, I'd get a sportier darker dial

So, I’m lucky enough to have a TT fluted Ivory Dial, fluted Silver dial and fluted white dial. All DJ2’s.
The TT is yellow gold and the Ivory Dial compliments it perfectly. It’s a beautiful watch. The Ivory dial in bright sunlight looks almost white but has a very subtle sparkle to the ivory effect dial which prevents it looking bland. Regarding white and silver dials you need to consider that the silver dial will have a brushed sunburst effect which is really nice. The white dial will be just plain white and not play with the light like the silver dial will. The silver dial is more interesting in this regard. For this reason, I personally find white dials a bit bland and plain looking. My white dial DJ2 IS my white dial watch in the collection and I added it over and above a polar explorer because I just don’t like the black painted hands on the polar explorer. Having said all this, if you want a really clean looking watch, white dial may be the way to go. Lots of folk love white dials because of the clean look they give, but like I said already, I find them a bit bland and dare I say, boring. The Silver dial is beautiful. Love the way it plays with the light like I said, and it has a kind of ‘60’s vibe to it and for this reason I like it a lot. It’s fair to say the white dial is my least favourite of the three but it has its place despite getting little wrist time. |

Shoot, chose silver but should have read your post first. If it's two-tone definitely white (or champaigne) over silver.

White or champagne.
Silver is not bad but definitely not top choice. I have a 20 year old white TT DJ and haven't regretted it one second! |
