Thoughts on Tudor GMT on Jubilee?

Found these pics online and kinda fell in love. What’re your opinions? Does the Tudor GMT work on a straight bar end link Jubilee?

It would looks good if it had proper endlinks without gaps to the case.

The gap between the case and the strap doesnt look good.

Yep, needs end links imo. Even with leather/nato the black bays show a lot of case from the side which I am personally not a fan of.

With end links, it would look great.

Don’t like jubilee on BLRO. So, equally bad idea on BB GMT.

I think looks awesome! Would be better w end links but infinitely better than the faux rivet garbage bracelet that is offered by Tudor.

I hate straight end bracelets. Get some end links! This look has always bothered me on the Breitling SOH as well.

It’s not the lack of endlinks that’s the problem with this....it’s the thickness of the case.

It's both. The straight bar end links are a big fat from E, and I believe you are correct the case thickness seemingly won't work so hot with the jubilee.

Love the idea but it just has to have end links. I can't do a straight bar bracelet like that. Only straight end that looks right is the leather strap IMO

IMO, the jubilee looks more at home with the shinier surfaces of the Rolex Pepsi.

The Tudor has a more tool-ish vibe and looks better on oyster or leather.

You're right - the Tudor does have a more tool watch vibe than the Rolex Pepsi (and imho, looks best on leather).

And in that root I think, lies the reason that that straight bar jubilee appeals to me.

The straight-end jubilee dresses it up, but still keeps the tool watch aesthetic. It's a different animal than the Rolex, it's not supposed to have the same elegant jubilee complimenting a high-polish case with sharp ceramic contrasts. I think a more refined jubilee with well-fitted endlinks would conflict with the tool watch aesthetic and try to make it something it's not.

I liken this combination of watch and bracelet to wearing jeans and a blazer. Looks great, but not as formal.

This!

The jubilee looks too "nice" on the subdued Tudor case. The retro bezel also adds to the mismatch. Perhaps if the case was polished and the bezel was ceramic.
