In general, I don't take fashion advice from someone who wears a pre-tied bowtie and a tux with pocket flaps. YMMV.
To the OP: I'd wear the Daytona for the simple fact that, unless the wedding is in the Midwest, you'll be changing timezones, and this is the least complicated to reset. Stylistically, if it's under a shirt cuff when not being checked, it doesn't really matter. Personally, I'll wear a dress watch if the event is local, and whatever watch I felt like wearing on the trip if traveling. |

Not sure a Daytona with Tux would be my choice.
Think elegant watch, gold.

A pocket watch is the only way to go. Everything else violates the black tie or white tie code.

Thanks all for the comments and feedback. I think quite a few suggested this option. So here it is. I will be bringing this watch and will take my gmt as the other watch. I heard the groom will also be wearing a watch so I won’t be out of place.

Neither is it heresy to wear a sports watch to a wedding or with a suit.
A classic watch with an elegant leather strap is more appropriate it seems to me, the 5396 is just perfect |
