Someone in another thread mentioned that he outsources now. I have had a bracelet restored by him a while back and the work was great.

Michael Young's work is hit and miss. I will not use him anymore as well as others here on the forum.

Curious - I know it's too late but assuming you are in the US did you consider Rolliworks in the CA Bay Area? They seem to have a good reputation and perform work as good as M Young on bracelets. I haven't personally taken a watch to them (ended up selling) but would have been my choice to avoid duties.

Its almost at the stage we just put old bracelets away and go either aftermarket or nato

Hi All,

First of all, thanks for the wealth of information that I have found here on the forum.

I have a question based on the Esslinger charts posted above. It looks like a 16800 case would use part no. 82.9290 spring bars, which are shown to have a diameter of 1.8mm. I always thought that the 16800 used 2mm bars. What am I missing here?

Tom, you are correct and not that chart from Esslinger. The Sub 16800 as well as the 1680, 16610 and 5512/5513 use 2mm width spring bars.
