“ExHIBiTIon oNly”

Spotted today at Watches of Switzerland Stratford Westfield in London.

Also, my AD told me the manager of another branch was recently let go as he was caught putting high end pieces into his bag, paying for it with his own card and then flipping it for a huge profit to grey dealers. Although, it’s not like we didn’t know that was happening…

Been waiting for months for that Batman! It's gotten to a point where I'm questioning whether they actually exist, or are a figment of my imagination.

For me I meant months in how IKEA furniture assembles "in minutes". I think I'm nearing 24 months in October. Only really had a purchase history as of a few weeks ago, however.

My friend was at an AD in Los Angeles and they had a green OP41, he convinced them to sell it to him after he bought some $4,500 earrings for his wife. It also was an exhibition only watch. This was last week. It looks like some ADs have real ones and some 10:10 models

Still beat grey prices and got a gift for his wife!

My AD is working on building the exhibition lineup. Was just DJs when I was there, but were all working pieces.

Devoting materials and manpower to the manufacture of nonfunctioning display watches while people with money in hand are getting the runaround from ADs. Why not produce watches that work and can be sold? Unless..........

Did your friend had Luca Brasi with him when he negotiated with the AD?

Got to try this one on in NYC yesterday. I like it a lot but prefer the black dial. Was fun to be able to try it on.

Because Rolex understands demand will continue to significantly exceed supply for the considerable future. So, it makes sense to allocate the equivalent of one week’s production to creating display models so ADs have pieces to show and customers can see models up close.

There is no such thing as 'display models', even these had movements inside i.e. they're real watches. My AD told me that if a dealer says it has no movement inside they are lying, they just use it as an excuse so customers don't kick up a fuss when you tell them you can't sell them that display watch at that exact time.
