Tough choice. I am not an LV lover but I understand the possible future collectivity of the watch. How many years will it may take for that to happen? The GMTLLc has taken Rolex lovers by storm and has been described by many as the perfect Rolex sport watch with good looks.

Ultimately, the choice will be yours to make. Which feels better on your wrist and is versatile enough to be worn with your daily lifestyle?

The sub will be updated at basel, so will be the harder one to replace in the future. You could get the black bezel insert and flip between green and black.. (thats what I'd do).

Keep the GMT and send the LV to me. I'll give it a good home, I promise.

Based on my 2 day ownership of a new GMT IIc, I'd say keep that one.

You can replace the llC for years to come. The LV is already getting more scarce and the price seems to be trending up.

My 2 cents are, keep the LV and get yourself a black bezel insert for $65. As someone else pointed out, it gives you flexibility to go back and forth between black and green and IMHO gives you the perfect watch.

I've got both and as much as I think the GMT IIc is the perfect watch with all of the well considered upgrades, etc, I would keep the LV due to it more than likely being discontinued and also you cannot beat the LV for it's everyday ruggedness, something the GMT IIc does not hold up to when considering PCL's which makes the watch more dressy than the LV.

Just saw two sell on the forum classifieds for substantially less than $4k over the last few days. That doesn't seem like trending up to me.

Speak to some of the dealers on this forum about their ability to obtain LVs. Also take a look at comparable prices over the last year.

GMT IIc without a doubt. LVs will never be in particularly short supply.

Let me ask this, if you already had a vintage 1675, would you trade your 1680 for an LV plus the cash difference?

Keep the LV and get a black bezel so that you can interchange.

I'm with this guy... The LV is getting scarce by the minute. Add the Black bezel and you'll have two watches!
