Sorry for this thread again!

Hello everyone,

I am currently debating my first watch purchase. I have done a lot of homework, tried on a bunch of options, and saved up for a while to have the honor of picking between these two beauties.
1. BLNR on oyster, assuming a 13/14k price tag
2. Pepsi on jubilee, assuming 17/18k price tag

I know the grey market prices are insane right now, but I’ve worked hard and don’t want to wait any longer. Help me decide! I appreciate the feedback in advance

Given the price difference go with option #1

Just to really mess you up, my personal pick would be option #3 BLNR on jubilee

Buy the one you want to wear. How can this be confusing?? This is like asking what are you hungry for tonight.

I prefer the BLNR on oyster and the Pepsi in 5 digit. In your case Id say save what you can in this crazy grey market and go for the Batman. I love mine and prefer the oyster bracelet as well.

Get the one you want. To make you feel better, the $4k difference in price amortized over 10 years costs you $1.10 a day!

This. It sounds as though you can afford either, so why get the one you like less?

It's the same watch... Just pick whatever color combo makes you happiest. No one can help you make that choice for you.

Well, jeez. If it were that easy would I have made this thread? I like them both a lot and they both have their positives and negatives that make it fairly equal to me. I can definitely use convincing one way or another

The Blnr is softening a bit on the grey market, that's a plus. Its on oyster if you prefer that over Jubilee. I think you have to decide which bracelet. Ive seen both, wore the BLNR for a while. The BLNR will fly under the radar, the Pepsi will not. Is this your only watch? If so, BLNR. If it's not, the Pepsi. I wouldn't want to wear the Pepsi daily on Jubilee, it might be comfy, but its super loud.

Sorry, I think those are terrible choices for your first watch because those watches are not worth the inflated price. I wouldn't recommend paying almost double retail for your first watch, no way Jose.

You should try both on before making a decision. I was originally going to pull the trigger on the Pepsi, but wasn’t crazy about it when it was on my wrist. Tried on the Batman on jubilee and fell in love. You should have a clear answer after trying on both watches.

FWIW:

I really, really wanted the 126710BLRO Pepsi on the Jubilee. The Rolex trunk show came through and I finally had a chance to wear one.

Nope. No sale.

I have a TT Champagne DJ that I just had to have and never wear; a Mk 1 current Explorer 1; and a Date 1500 with a blue shantung dial that I love.

It is that easy. Buy the one that you want. No one on this forum knows your preference. We can tell you what we like - for me option 1. But, if someone asks you why you bought your watch, do you want to say: because a bunch of strangers on the internet told me too?

Question: which one ‘speaks’ to you?

If you can't decide which one you want more, think which will hurt more not to have.

Difficult choice, I understand. Not trying to confuse your decision, but for that price I would go to the TT CHNR, so sporty and elegant at the same time, for me the absolute champion.
Ps: Based on the options presented: BLNR.

i always felt like these threads are more about seeing people's photos. there's always that 1 photo that will make you crave a watch

I agree with that. When someone is asking us which watch they should buy, I think it should be mandatory for them to post the photos. Or structure it as a Poll.

Get Pepsi on jubilee IMO, if you loved the BLNR on oyster that much you won't be in this dilemma.

Have some patience and visit an AD or three and get both over the next few years. Paying well over MSRP may be ok now as you can get most of your money back if your circumstances change. But in 3 years if you realize you only can get $6k of your $14k back, you are going to hate yourself for overpaying.

Pepsi on jubilee. Shortly after I got my Pepsi, I went into my AD to see what they had and they happened to have a BLNR on oyster. I tried it on and was pretty underwhelmed when compared to the Pepsi. That’s just my opinion though, as someone else said I think the Pepsi is special.

I don't own either, but here's my opinion.

I think the BLNR is a little more versatile and understated. My friend has one and many times it looks like a LN.

I think the BLRO is more flashy. I personally think the 5 digit is much nicer. But that's not an option. Given the two, I would go BLRO if you want that's more of an eye catcher.

Good luck and enjoy your new watch!
