A wooden cross on a string around my neck that I’ve been wearing forever along with a wedding band. That’s about the extent of my jewelery collection or lack there of one.

I always think of gentlemanly being very much about behaviour towards others.

Certain not which jewellery or clothing one wears.

Wow, that is very nice. I had never been into yellow gold, not even gold toned watches, until very recently.

I am starting to realize that yellow gold is a statement of traditional and timeless class.

I love that you daily it. I daily my silver chain, and my watch. I need to get more into the habit of wearing some of my other things.

Life is too short to not wear your jewelry!

Very much so, but gentlemanly behavior also implies restraint and good taste...

That is nice as well.

Sometimes less is more

Had the wooden cross held up over the years?

Sometimes I am under the impression that for something to hold up, it has to be made of metal

But I am pretty sure I’m wrong

Look at the post above where someone said they’ve worn a leather bracelet for years. I would’ve never thought that was possible.

That's a Cuban link chain. It's 24 inches and 90 grams of 14K old gold. I purchased that chain when my daughter was born in 1990. Everything you see I still have for many years

All of it is 14k gold. Back in the days all we wore was 18K and 14K gold. Now a days is seems like everything is 10K gold and if you can find some 14k or 18k it's going to be a little expensive especially with the price of gold going up...

Nice! Did you ever have to apply rhodium plating on it?

When I bought my fiancé’s engagement ring in white gold, I was told I will need to apply rhodium coating maybe once every two years in order for it to stay white

What gives?

I remember 14k when I grew up.

Now I’ve heard of 10k, 24k and everything in between!

I guess I am far from a gentleman...…….

Everything shown is from the early 2000's.....14K white Asscher cut(little over 1.00 carat)/14K white 2.10 carat round/18K yellow pinky ring/95 gram-14K diamond bracelet.....the massive one on my middle finger is still being sold by a jeweler in Thousand Oaks, CA(30grams, F VS1 3.85 carats). Daily watch is a 126233(had to get a two tone-OCD about metals not maching).

Enjoy...………….

We thought about that but I prefer the natural patina.

The Duke of Bedford from his Book of Snobs regarding men's jewelry: “Tie clips, cuff links the size of saucers, and all rings with stones are absolutely out. A signet ring on the little finger of the left hand is, however, perfectly all right.“

Top is my every day, rose gold Franco chain with a pendant (a coin minted under Alexander the Great), and a black diamond/rose gold tennis chain (I bought my mom and grandmother a matching one and we all wear them 24/7 for years). I have the RG and YG love bracelets and I love the look but honestly the shape of my wrist makes them really uncomfortable. The Cartier trinity cord bracelet is a relatively inexpensive one, and you can always change out the cord colors to mix it up.
Wish I could do rings but my knuckles are weirdly wider than my fingers in general so they just slide around uncomfortably. Might get another tennis bracelet soon, I have the itch for something.

Love that Cartier stack Ryan, making me want the JUC!

This started life as a hand made mokume wedding band that I really didn't like (still married! love the wife, just not the wedding band).
A friend of mine, who's made jewelry for the Queen, offered to make me something from it. He hand crafted this piece from the band. The front is actually two pieces, joined together by the bar set with rubies. It's not flat, it's slightly domed giving it a great shape. Rose gold loop for the chain.
I wear it every day... But it's always tucked inside my clothes.

*pen to give you an idea of size!

Good taste and restraint go hand in hand. Aside from my watch, this is it.
