5205R dial questions
1. Will Patek allow a dial change from black to white on this reference?
2. If so where can I have it done? 3. Approximately how much would it cost? 4. Approximately how much time would it take? Thanks!!!!

Easier said than done. I really already tried that. I can’t find anyone other than the diamond district that has any of these in white dial right now and I wouldn’t buy from them if they were the only people on the planet that had watches. I’ve already had my one time bad experience there. Otherwise I completely agree with you. That would be the easiest way. I would even trade for a brand new white dial one with some money added to it. Thanks man

Out of curiosity, may I ask why you want a dial change?

The white dial appeals to me more for wearing with my suits. The black dial seems to be more casual I guess. Everyone looks at it differently of course.

I agree on the white dial, to me at least the white appears more classic, timeless with understated elegance, but then I'm biased as that's the one I own (5205R-001).
Either way, I wouldn't switch dials. Personally, I would sell one and buy the other (even if at a cost), simply because I prefer Pateks I own to be "factory correct". I imagine that may also be better if later you decide to sell your 5205 altogether. Regardless, you've got a great watch, hope you're enjoying it. Cheers. |

I go on there several times a week looking. But it’s always the same people that have it. The diamond district. I have had terrible experience with those people. Most of them either won’t have it in stock or if they do but dealing with them would be painful as most of them would steal from their own mother. lol
I was hoping sooner or later a trusted seller here would get one and do a swap with me and make some money at the same time. Oh well it’ll happen sooner or later.
