41mm vs 38mm ROC

I'm looking at either a Royal Oak Chrono in the 41mm or 38mm size.

I haven't had the opportunity yet to see any in person or try them on, but based on what I'm reading online, the Royal Oaks wear much bigger on the wrist.

I have a 7 3/4 inch wrist.

Can anyone on the forum who has a wrist size around mine, post a picture with their watch on?

I think 41mm should look ok, but somehow I think the 38mm will be the right size for my wrist.

Thoughts??

38mm will be too small on your wrist.

I also have a 7 3/4 wrist, and don't have a watch under 40mm.

Your wrist can handle either easily, just pick whether you like larger or smaller

The Hulk is good, and the ROC is great.

I think you’re better off with 41mm - if you go 38mm you will need to factor in adding extra links. I have 6.5” wrist and took only one link off my 38mm chrono whereas the 41mm RO I took off 4/5 links.

I suspect the 41mm would be great on your wrist.

26331 41mm should fit your 7.75" wrist better than 26315 38mm.

38mm will look funny on you (in my mind).

I have the 38mm ROC on a 6.25" (flat) wrist and every now and then I feel like another mm on the dial wouldn't hurt. It's arguably perfect for me though given the 48mm lug2lug length.

Another vote for 41mm. The 38mm chrono looks great on some wrists, but your's won't be one of them.

I have 6.5" wrists and the 38 was just right for me.

I reckon the 41 will fit you better.

Any idea how tough is the 26331 stainless steel ROC with blue dial is to get at retail? How long might the waitlist be?

The 26331 reference has been discontinued. The replacement reference is 26240. How difficult to get all depends on what kind of rapport you can establish with your SA.

41mm ROC on a wrist slightly above 7":

I have tried the 38mm ROC several times, and always thought it looked like a kid's watch on my wrist (while it fits slimmer wrists perfectly).

No matter how beautiful the dial is, I can't get my head around of not having open case back at this price point.

For what it’s worth, my 15450 and 26240 on my 6.5 inch wrist. I have a very flat wrist, so the 4mm difference in the cases is very marginal on how it affects the wearability (both a extremely comfy), but rather on the visual appeal.

And a 38mm and 41mm side by side, albeit on very different wrist sizes.

I think 41 is too big generally speaking. You have a big wrist but the RO/ROC wear larger than its size in my experience. The 38 wears more like a 39-40, which I find to be the perfect size.

It boils down to your wrist size and profile. The 38mm is a better fit for my 6.5 wrist.

38mm will be too small for your wrist, it fits mine at 6.75" just perfectly, go for the 41mm. IMO 39mm is really the perfect size if your wrist is < 7".

As others have stated - you want the 41. To me it wears like a 40 and the 38 looks tiny on my wrist - it even looks a little small on my wife’s tiny tiny wrist

I always love the look of the 38 in my hand then when I put it on it’s an immediate no

It really depends on how you want to wear your watches. Some of the commenters above want a Royal Oak to be large on the wrist and others want it to be more subtle in size. My wrist is 7.1" and I happily wear the 37mm and would never go for the 41mm. Royal Oaks always wear 2mm larger than their size and a chrono adds maybe even another mm. As you can see on Salnuaimi's photos, the 38mm wears like a 41mm Submariner.

Looks fantastic!

Love 38mm. I have exact one on my 6.75 wrist
