The Coke is always an option with the GMTII.

I found there was only one way to solve this problem....obtain the lot.
Sorry, I haven't been much help. Now I think about it, my problem isn't solved, I don't yet have a super jubilee for the 16700 . |

Everyone is so used to the gmt ii that the c looks more modern and up to date (which it is). However, the gmt is just the most classic of Rolexs imho.

This is always a tough question. Before I made my decision, I went and tried on many, eventually ending up trying on the C and the classic. I went with the classic. It was the one that smiled at me. But you have to try on a few to really know what YOU like. Good luck!

Easy decision for me. 120 click bezel, red 24 hour hand, 3 bezel options [more for tt and gold models], and 2 bracelet options.

C, but you'll probably end up with both eventually.

Absolutely love my C. However, everytime I see a Pepsi bezel I begin to want one. This thread is not helping.
Sigh, I really thought I was done with this. I thought my C cured me. So much for that.....

I really like the GMT 2 better....coke or pepsi
Of course I own a pepsi and have tried on the newer ones but polished center links, green letters/hand and chunky feel compared to the older ones just does not do it for me. Maybe if they come out with a ceramic 2 tone? |

I went with this gorgeous piece:
Bad mistake. I did not care for the poorly designed ceramic bezel, the PCLs, and almost invisible green 24hr hand against the black dial. Replaced it with this one: I liked the versatility of being able to swap bezels and change the look: But it wore small compared to my other sport watches so I ended up with this one: Which for me is about as perfect a watch as one can have. Difficult decision if they both sing to you. If you would consider owning two of them sometime in the future you might want to go with the non-C, since it is no longer in production, and the IIc will be in production for a long time to come. I have the IIc and I love it, and for my next watch, whenever that will be, the non-C is on my short list.

I would suggest GMT IIc...great watch for many reasons. Compared with the classic, the two features that matter most for me are the triplock crown and the solid link bracelet with a much improved clasp. The ceramic bezel and its spring loaded "clicking" is very impressive as well. Dont love the PCLs but overall the watch is a better choice in may opinion than the many classic GMT or GMT II options.

Try them both on if you can, and get the one YOU like most. Both have good and bad points- and you need to decide which is best for you. Best of luck!!!

Classic - the bezel numbers shout out "look at me" on the new ceramic models and I had a tough time making out the GMT hand since it's green, and the cyclops obstructs lots of view in may cases. Very busy...

Well, the GMTIIC is my go-to every day driver but there is that special place in my heart for the GMTII as it was going to be my son's when he graduated college. That didn't happen so it went to the "back-row" rotation. It still has many options and will serve your collection well. With that said, the GMTIIC is, IMHO, a better piece.
