Patek 5960/1A-011

Ever seen this one before ? A special custom order 5960 with a new reference number 5960/1A-011 for the owner of Leicester City. A one of one ?

That's awesome but kind of surprising they'd do a piece like that.

If the guy is a VIP at PP no it's not really, you know they do commission work, so not surprised

Bracelet is an atrocity. Rubber strap! Make this the next Aquanaut.

If this model didn't have a bracelet I think most people would have a completely different sentiment bc I think the watch/movement is actually stunning and useful...but then again this is what makes a market

I would be interested in seeing the date wheel when it is the first of the month if 1 is Blue to match the hands like the 5960/1a is red. I know PP has done special dials for customers and such but a custom colored date wheel seems like a bit of a stretch but as the saying goes...Money Talks

The first of the month is still red

Patek did not change the date wheel on this unique reference.

Now to me that just looks odd. I have limited soccer knowledge but believe Leicester City has no red in their team colors so I wonder if the owner could've opted for one of the older date wheels in the platinum versions.

The owner is a Thai billionaire. That would make him a VIP just about anywhere. ;)

I know they did in the past. You probably have to be an insane level customer for them to modify or create a piece for you. In contrast a brand like Vacheron advertises that they will do commission pieces.

I didn't realise this was coming up for sale on the secondary market:

I think this watch was modified and not by PP. The hands look painted and not factory painted and the rear sapphire appears to be laser etched which is something I have never seen on any PP.

Did they buy a laser just for this customer?

If it's on sale I would be surprised that the owner of Leicester bought it, more likely a fan, if you own a football club and ask PP to customize a watch for you I don't think you would need to sell it soon after, but what do I know...

That's what I'm saying, it doesn't look like they'd do it.

I had a call with the PP Salon Geneva and they confirmed the model and they confirmed the modifications. All done by PP.

If it was a real 1-1 piece from Patek you'd think it would sell for over MSRP not under.

I did not get confirmation of it being a 1-1, the PP salon mentionned more then 1, but did not want to disclose exactly how many.
