42mm Pam 535 or 1535???

Hi Everyone just want to see Panerai Experts opinion on this 2 GMTs......(photos from the web not mine)

Pam 535

Pam 1535

What is the upgrade on the caliber P.9011,
Is it much better than the older P.9001???

P9011 have thinner movt which translates to thinner case, however I like 535 better as I'm not a big fan of patina lume and I prefer same colored hands

Is it just me or does the 535 on the picture have patina date wheel?

535 for me, as I find the 1535's ecru lume & blue hand a bit much with the waffle dial.

Thanks!!!

Yes I’ve found the wheel numbers are slightly different tone in a lot of pics on the web.
This photo even shows it more.

Trying to make my mind.....
Or better said,
I kind of already knew the 535 is the one.
Just wanted to hear expert opinions and more info about the movement.

I wasn't very keen on the ecru lumes and the blue hand, but it grew on me very fast and I became very fond it. Plus, the ecru lumes are easier to match with a wider variety of straps. Concerning the P9011 vs P9001, not only it is thinner, it feature a different balance bridge that is secured on two sides, increasing the shock resistance. And you get 2 extra jewels, and ten extra components (there is improvement over the previous model for sure).. and lastly, P9011 is nicer looking. I included pictures so you can judge by yourself.. notice the difference between the balance bridges. Just my two cents.. enjoy in good health the one that you choose.

Nice. Great choice. I found blue hand bit distractive.

I tried in the 1535 at the boutique on Madison Ave, in NYC last week and really fell in love with the watch. Had a great weight and wrist feel to it, and looked great on my 7.5 inch wrist. Sales lady tried to talk me into a 47mm watch that I did try on, but I felt the size of the 1535 was perfect for me. Have not made the purchase yet, but do believe this will end up being my first Panerai. Congrats on purchasing a great watch.

I understand, the 535 was my first choice.

But, the blue hand in the 1535,
has grown into me very fast....

The ability to change up the look of the watch so easy with changing straps is very appealing to me. With all of the insanity in the Rolex market, being able to do this is leading my straight into being a Panerai owner soon. Plus just the weight of the watch and the wrist presence is hard to beat.

Why did you change? I love the PAM1535 and thinking of getting one. Haven't tried the 535 , is it thicker?

Yes the 535 it’s a little bit thicker, also great....

I changed it because it came with some little scratches, one was dented and a polish wouldn’t do it.
My AD gently asked me if I wanted them to repair it or get a new one ,
but they didn’t have a 535 so he offered me the 1535.

I tried on the 1535 on today and really liked it! What kind of discount can one expect in todays market going through their botiques? I'm not very familiar with Panerai.

Depends on your relation with your AD 15-20% I guess...
In a boutique or online expect 0% discount
