Great watch and when you add in the cost it is hard not to like it. I really enjoy the Seiko Divers and have really gotten into the brand of late. I purchased a green MM and a Grand Seiko in the last month and have found them to be of excellant quality and alot of fun to wear. Just a few of my Seikos.

I prefer my Seiko divers over any variants of Rolex dive watches that I own or have owned, well for what they are made for. Prefer the silicone strap, more comfy and secure in the water and waves. Depth rating not a factor at all. Most important the visability. It's nice to be able to read the watch. Seiko divers blow the Rolex ones away. Not even close. Bezels, function the same. My TT Sub I felt like one big fishing lure for a shark. Even so with my Sub. Not the Seikos. While I would hate to lose my Seikos to the ocean, I could stand it more than losing a $10,000 or more Rolex.

Wow! First time heard of the brands but they are beautiful! Made in Japan is the way to go if you seek quality.

The watch on the lower right is a kinetic GMT in a Tuna style case. Since that picture, I gifted that watch to my brother and I replaced it with a 777 Turtle.

I found that watch too big and heavy for me and I rarely wore it. My brother is a bigger guy, it may be a better fit for him.

I almost bought myself the sbp053 in your pic. But really wanted the sla017. But didnt want to spend like $3k on it. Plus allocations were all gone. That abp is really nice. I really like the blue bezel. I loved the 62mas reissue. The chrystal is so 60’s.

I get it...I've got a Seiko Monster and a couple of Citizen watches that are probably all the watches a normal human would ever need in his life span.

Thanks! The 053 is a cut above the Turtles and Samurais with sapphire crystal and better materials.

That shipped has sailed for me. I have a mini-watch boutique.

I got a Seiko SNZF15K1, sea urchin. I wanted to buy a SKX on Amazon and the SNZF was on the list when I did the search so I accidentally ordered it instead. I noticed later and tried to cancel, too late. My intention was to return and get an SKX, but when I opened it up I liked its look and felt much higher quality than a $200 watch has any right to feel, so I kept it. I wore it for the next 5 days. It looses an average of 2.8 seconds a day, and after 5 days on the wrist (no manual winding possible) I let it run down and it had a power reserve of 40:58.

It’s a very very good watch. And for $200 I works better than a number of my watches that cost thousands.

New weekend ...new look: "Matching" juiblees!!

The jubilee on the Sea Dweller I picked up off of ebay sometime ago. Authentic or not, it works just fine after I finessed the endlinks. Clasp is stamped 4 over 72.

Beautiful pair! I enjoy my Seiko as much as my Rolex . Such nice tool watches for so little money and no hassle from AD just to get one.

Like that PADI ...a LOT!

I was hoping that the 013 would scratch my itch ...but it hasn't.

Now waiting on a SRPC35 on bracelet to arrive so that the 013 won't be my Lone Seiko.

Thank god they're so incredibly affordable...

Good to scratch itch with Seiko.Easier to plunk down $200-300 than $6000-$12,000, especially with the Rolex “shortage”

The crown screws in to provide 200 m water resistance, but otherwise it is not hand-winding and it is not hackable (sort of). I thought this was interesting. My old air king is also non-hacking, nevertheless, both can be (gently) back-hacked if you are determined to sync either to an atomic clock.

As I understand it, the SKX model lineup and its 7S26 movement have not benefitted from any noted improvements (I don't think) since the SKX was introduced ~1996. I haven't looked into when the little 7S26 was first introduced. It is neither pretty nor accurate but it is reputed to "run forever".

Anyway, I think the SKX is a handsome and obviously low (LOW) cost specimen, but a legitimate dive watch just the same, and therefore barely a worthy companion(contrast) to my sea dweller.

Anybody else hiding dark and inexpensive secrets in their collection?

Exactly. Fanboys of any type are ridiculous. For example the car scene. The fanboys are really missing out when they hate on all other brands, and by definition can't be considered enthusiasts. I get so tired of the Chevy vs Ford, Import vs Domestic arguments.
