Rodin at the Norton Simon in Pasadena, CA. iPhone X camera is pretty sharp in the daylight!

Just a view off my home balcony. Pretty amazed with the sort of quality that mobile phone cameras have these days. This pic was taken with digital zoom, cropped, and processed entirely on a Huawei P10. You can view the image in full size on my Flickr here.

Took my son to Travis Airforce Base which houses a fleet of C-5 Galaxy’s last Sunday for the museum tour. For a homegrown museum I was overwhelmed and impressed to the attention to detail and the overall experience. I highly recommend anyone local or visiting to check it out.

They do a pretty extensive background check before you can get on base. Then they make a phone call and they send a driver. The gentleman who picked us up was retired C-5 Galaxy pilot and a true hero.

I've never felt the need to focus stack a shot from the top. Can you explain why you did? Seems like the DOF from top to bottom of the movement is rather thin anyway.

Truth? I have no idea.

I just wanted to try the new functionality out. Fuji added focus stacking via firmware and I’ve never done it before.

Affinity Photo for iPad automates the stacking so I thought I’d give it a whirl.

I previously took a single shot stopped down ro maximize the DOF but it didn’t go as deep as I would have liked.

About to start dipping my toes into film soon. Waiting for an F100 to arrive from Japan and just won this today on eBay

Should be fun to mess around with. I was originally looking at some other Film point and shoots, but the prices are insane.

The first half of the eclipse last evening. Took these with my smart phone camera up against the eyepiece of my 8" telescope.

I just moved to New Zealand and this cat was sitting in front of a grocery store near my home. It sat still as people walked in and out, many who would stop to pet it. I’m sure it was the cat’s plan. It sat patiently as I snapped a couple of shots. Cheers, Tim

I tried to catch this last night and even so spotty cloud cover just couldn't get a good look. Thanks for sharing this awesome photo series.

Snorkelling off Curaçao - it has long been an ambition to find some turtles again after a chance diving encounter about 15 years ago with one.

At one point there were 6 swimming about. Majestic creatures and a very special moment.

Photos were taken on a relatively inexpensive Fujifilm underwater camera being the only replacement I could find on the island after losing my better underwater camera on the first dive of the trip (there is a lesson there about stowing buoyant things in pockets.)

Some colour / brightness enhancement after on the phone to help compensate for being underwater.

Playing with the DIY Ghetto light box and the Omega the other day. Reflection added in PP. But, I think I'm going to get a piece of plexiglass for that.

These are my brother’s iPhone photos of Mendocino. He lives in Ft. Bragg. They never get snow. But this year we are getting very extreme conditions. Incredible rain numbers as well.

He has an OJ Bronco. Such a great truck.

I love Ft. Bragg!
Snow in winter, 88 degrees there recently (in a town which probably has zero air conditioners), weather there lately has certainly been ... unusual.

Love the movement of the water in your last pic. I just started last weekend with photography. Good to see some inspiration of what you can do with a camera 😀
