trade in a Pam 000 Logo for an Omega Planet Ocean 45,5 with 8500 movement

Hi,

would this be a fair trade?
the Panerai is from 2006 and full set --- the Omega has only rubber strap but also full set...

I personally see the difference in the missing steel bracelet.

thanks in advance

I own also Pam 000, myself I would not trade for the Omega, but the other end, I’m not a fan of Omega watches. Keep your zero it’s much nicer.

That omega is very nice but I would want the bracelet with it. Value wise seems ok. Depends which one you like more I guess.

My question to you is, "Do you want a diver watch with timing bezel and automatic movement? To be more specific, do you want a Omega PO?"

If you do, then try to find one with the bracelet. Omega PO is a great watch. If that's what you want, go for it.

But I probably won't go through this trade because its missing the bracelet. I would personally go for the bracelet version because its much more expensive to get a bracelet later on if you want one with bracelet.

Depends on which you prefer. I traded my 000 for a new Sub. I had to add some cash. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and I thought that the PAM was too big for me.

The base logo edition of the PAM is so clean and iconic. I wouldn’t part with it for an Omega if it were my choice.

Personally I'd keep the zero, even now the pre owned zero is selling higher in the dealer than the 112,it's almost comparable to 176

While the price of 1000 is dropping like crazy

The PO is a superior breed a watch. Italian navy?

Seriously I'd consider a huge step up and more of a Rolex comparator.

Is this a joke?

Omega is not a huge step up from Panerai. Omega does not compare with Rolex.

OP, you gotta do what works for you but there’s no way I’d trade a 000 for a PO. If you want one that bad, save and add. The PO is not going to hold it’s value, not in a million years, but the 000 is going in only one direction.
