Blancpain Villeret Moonphase vs JLC Grande Reversal Calendar

Has anyone wore either of these watches and which one would you recommend? Pros and Cons please.

JLC Grande Reverso Calendar Reference Q3758420
Blancpain Villeret Moonphase & Complete Calendar 40mm 6654-1127-55b

Thanks!

I’ve tried on similar references to both of those, I didn’t like how the Grande reversion case looked in my wrist, the 1931 case fit better. The Blancpain is a very nice watch, as is the JLC, not very similar in look, size or movement though,

If you like how each fits and looks on your wrist I don’t think you can go wrong with either, just personal preference.

I was close to pulling trigger on a Blancpain complete calendar. It’s got the ingenious correctors, but it is a “complete calendar”, which requires correction at the end of every month that is not 31 days, five times a year. An annual calendar only requires a correction in February, once a year. Is that important? You be the judge.

Not familiar with the JLC mechanism...

I like them both, but the BP wins

Blancpain do make a couple of Annual calendars including the Villeret. You lose the moon phase though I like the cleaner dial myself...

Of the OP's 2 choices, I can only state wich one I feel looks nicer.

I really like both watches a lot and find them to both be of similar quality and excellent values. I think it really comes down to which shape you like better.

JLC for me, just keep in mind it's a manual wound so kind of a pain to set everything up if you forget to wind daily.
