Favorite watch for 1,000$ or less?
If you had to pick one watch for under 1,000$ which one would you choose? Pre owned or new.

Under 1k is a tough space. I’d probably try to stretch to 2k and try and find a nice used Omega Seamaster.
For under 1k I’m loving my Steinhart. You have to be ok with the Homage style but it’s a huge bang for your buck and BNIB they’re only about $500. $350 or so used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a Hamilton Pan Europ Chrono that I really like. I got it new for $550.
But now, I’d rather add new rubber and leather straps for my Rolex/Tudor/Omega. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm a huge fan of going Seiko in the sub $1,000 category, the presage models with enamel dials are hard to beat imo. If you can find a blue dial limited I'd jump on it, but at an even $1,000 the white dial is pretty great too..

Give Archimede a look. You can buy direct or their is a distributor in the US. Lots of great watches for under $1000.
Or Seiko as mentioned. Stowa Pre-owned Sinn. Style as well. Dress or diver? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Seiko SDGM-001 "Grand Cocktail" JDM, discontinued. A huge step up in overall quality from the revered old Cocktail Time and with the Diashield coating process-less scratches and keeps the appearance new. Excellent alternative as both dress/sport wear, looks richer and better finished than most Swiss mid-size pieces in the 2-4k range. Has the better 6R movement that Seiko has moved out of their new Presage Cocktail Time offerings. Can still be had under 1k online, but probably not for too long. Has a black dial variant as well as the crème. With a high quality leather strap- killer affordable piece!

Have to agree with the Seiko suggestions.
For $1000 you could pick yourself up both a dive and a dress watch. Brand new. Great value. |

There is pretty much a plethora of brands to choose from, especially pre-owned, including forgotten names like Ebel, Concord, and Bucherer – although some models require a degree of luck finding them at just the right price now. |
