That is truly hilarious. And they don't even have it in-hand.

It's just amazing how fast Rolexes get pushed on the grey/secondary market.

This is the kind of behavior that might get someone banned from purchasing a Ferrari again or Ford GT. But it's par for the course in the watch world.

I thought I saw a listing on Chrono24 for $400K.

Zero doubt the AD's are getting their palm greased to move these watches directly to gray. This happens to be illegal unless the income is reflected on year end tax forms.

That "lollypop sucker" YouTube guy who I've been liking lately says he personally knows that envelopes with 5-10K are routinely being passed under the table for high end allocations. If true, this (by strict) definition is organized crime.

In an environment where AD's require "a relationship", there is zero doubt they know EXCATLY who they could sell this watch to who would keep it as part of his/her collection. Only a few if any have been produced, and each AD could sell to a 100 whales who are ardent, passionate collectors and would love to have and keep the watch.

Instead they sell to an immediate flipper. Hmmm. Geesh, I wonder why?

This is the initial hype price. It's going to go down quick and hover slightly above current 116500 prices and will eventually land there

Ummmm...so the LeMans (which just so happens to be a precious metal watch) will soon be selling for 50% of MSRP?

Got it

In the 40s? I am thinking it will be more around 116508 green dial price after hype is done.

Don't have too high of expectations. Older dude who reminds you of "that uncle" you had at parties. He's different though and I get a kick out of him now and then.

I really hope you're correct. It's all going to come down to supply. There are tons of JMs out there and I don't see them manufacturing nearly as many LeMans. But, time will tell and I for one hope they remain limited but not impossible.

Was able to handle one today in Singapore. Nice watch. Great weight to it and different to the normal Daytona. It’s just insane how high the secondary price gets.

Of course not for sale, exhibition only. Just like everything else in the store.

I don't think it will be as limited as people expect.

Harder times are comming,. PM watches are not flying off the shelves at the moment, especially WG. So to limited the one model everybody wants would be an odd strategy.

FYI re “Lehmans,” I would point out that the Moda groups on FB have forbidden using actual brand spellings so people are respelling/abbreviating brands differently.

If the OP’s screenshot was from Moda, my guess is that’s why the name is spelled wrong.
