Pam 689 or 688 advise needed please

Hello
Am new to this forum and would like to have some advise and honest opinion please:

I am a male 47 yrs and am interested in purchasing Panerai Pam 689, the blue dial in 44mm but due to my small wrist measuring around 5.75 inches, am concerned if it would look good on me or else go for the Pam 688 42mm

Which is a better looking, Pam 688 or Pam 689 if price is not an issue?

Please advise. Thanks

Am attaching pic of the 689 which I wore on the Boutique. The strap is big for me but the manager told me that he would get me a shorter strap
I haven't got the chance to see and try out the Pam 688

exciting times! enjoy the hunt. the new blue dials are stunning.

panerai is supposed to be big, but in those photos the 689 is overpowering your wrist, IMHO.

the 688 should wear slightly better, but i think it will be just as thick.

any photos of the 688 on you?

if it needs to be blue, maybe consider hunting down a 229? the thinner bettarini case may fit you better.

Welcome to TRF I agree with Cru^^the 688 and 689 both are great but if you think in the future the resale is better on the 44mm 689 and the 10 days is cool good luck

689 with the ten day is hot IMO. My good friend/dealer offered me one but passed. -- I'm pretty sure it's still in his inventory if needed.

I have to agree, it is a little too much on your wrist. Keep looking and try some other models.

Of these two, the 689, but I prefer the 233 over both of them.

As the Panerai Enabler-in-Chief (Cru to his friends) says, a Panerai is supposed to wear big but I also think that the 689 is too big on you. It's not so much the dial but the lugs overhang on both sides.

Cru's advice is excellent. Try find a 229 and see how you go.

Don't be too disheartened though. My wrists are 7.25" and the 689 looks big on me too. Here's mine:

Good luck in finding a PAM that works for you

Hey May... your dealer still have one in inventory? I'm interested in picking one up (689).
