Vacheron Overseas Inverse Panda Dials!

FINALLY the Overseas collection is getting a black, sporty dial. First I've heard of this, pictures look great! The Chrono is a fantastic piece in person, definitely going to be interested in this.

Gorgeous watch. I own a 49140 and really love it. Like any non-Rolex/AP/PP, it is hard to swallow the MSRP, but I get that they are playing in the "Trinity"

Right? It's a wonderful looking piece from those pictures. SO happy they went with contrasting sub dials, unlike the other dial colors. Some awesome sport models coming out this year for me, between this and the grey titanium AP ROO.

As for the price, I don't care, I'd buy it grey anyways. I absolutely LOVE how the fanboys won't mess around with Lange and Vacheron. Gives way to some INCREDIBLE deals on amazing pieces. I kind of smirk inside when I see a post whining about how they're owned by Richemont, or the resell isn't that great. Just equates to a better discount for guys like me

The chrono is a nice choice of black with silver panda subdials, and they are all the same size unlike AP's and the old chrono. VC doing a lot of things right, prices aside. Still not sure I like the newer barrel shape more than the old egg shape.

I'm just concerned about the bracelet. The quick change strap system is fantastic, however, I've heard it feels a little sub-par on the wrist.

At 40mm I am a buyer. VC got the size wrong and will not sell one to me as a result.

Resale has always kept me away on VC's. I do really like the new Overseas chrono. What kind of discounts can be had going grey market?

For me as well. A little smaller would be ideal.

It didn't to me, the VC motif is smaller, less defined on the 3 gen bracelet being the main difference. If you can get the Date for 25% plus off then it's a serious option. Price in GBP conversion is around £14-15K which isn't too bad.

I like my blue 3rd gen simple date, but retail $20900 is too high. I found one for ~15k, that's about where I am to feel it's priced right.

I think if you're going Chronograph you want to go 2nd gen (that panorama date at 12 and guilloche on the dial!) If simple date 3rd gen (better placement on the date, crown meeting bezel looks better, and I prefer no 12/3/6/9 on dial -- that's a personal preference thing, though.)

this might just push me into getting the overseas chrono. I really like the blue dial but the white date window makes it a non starter. With the black and white on this one the white date window doesnt stick out so much and looks good... in pics

on the regular version i still prefer the blue dial though.

I am loving the new reverse panda on the chronograph. This is definitely up there on my list of watches to get.

I’d truly love for VC to start making moves to get them back in the convo with AP and PP. They truly belong there with their abilities, if they’d execute properly on a sports range.

a strong sports range is essential and they are getting there i think. They still are a bit light on their offerings but the new overseas with the in house movements are great watches. Finally adding a black dial which is the most popular dial color and most common is good. Still don't know why they didn't launch with a black dial option though and would also like to see a solid black chrono too.

The overseas chrono is more impressive than the AP ROC in most areas. In house movement, quick change strap system, micro adjustment on the bracelet. Looks wise the AP bracelet is nicer though but overall i give the edge to VC as a better chronograph watch. Screw down pushers and the date window are the only major flaws IMO but the AP also has a bad date window.

Hands on look.

Idk, something about it isn’t flowing. Doesn’t look as great as the stock pics rendered it. Going to be a pass for me.

i thought the hodinkee pics were bad... i didn't like it from those pics but the pics on WCL were better so IDK.
