I bought the below CCCP from TK Maxx in the UK, cost about £40. Only worn it once but might dig it out tomorrow to give my Seamaster a rest.

Is there a brand that is considered to be the "Rolex" in Russia? Vostok? Wouldn't mind adding a steel bracelet automatic to my collection from Russia but been looking at Vostok and don't really like the look of them. They all seem to have fat bezels and small dials.

I said the same in a different thread, this is truly interesting IMO. Not many people know that CCCP is not exactly how we read but it's actually SSSR in our alphabet (союз советских социалистических республик CCCP = SSSR Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik). Thought it would be nice to share it here too.

Never had one but does Russian Vodka count?

If so I went through a massive collection.

Vostok and Poljot are very reliable. I'm sure you'll be happy if you get one.

Feels like some kind of nato style strap should be on it, for that military look.

Here's my 2 latest (I say latest I've had them months)

The Vostok is battered despite still running, I hate the bracelet on it, need to find something to put it on.

I won this as a prize recently. I haven't worn it yet, and I don't know anything about it.
