Dropped New Watch
Just got the PAM674 less than 2 weeks ago, dropped it on concrete tiles by pool area from maybe a few feet off the ground. It looks like it originally landed on the opposite side from the clasp and scuffed up the case. When I picked it up off the ground it was face down. There are some small nicks around the bezel.
I have financed this, 30 months 0% financing so haven't even made a payment yet. I was offered protection for another $850 which I did not take but since I am within the 14-day window, is this something I should consider? Don't even know if they will fix anything now. Even though I am really pissed, nothing I can do now, but more concerned if there could be something wrong with the time. It seems ok but need to double/ triple check if slows/speeds up. Any recommendations on options? I can add pics Thanks in advance |

We drop watches all the time... they don't always explode into shards and dust, and quite frequently nothing happens. That's why they have shock systems installed.
Pretty unlikely that they will sell you protection after-the-fact.

Sorry to hear that. It must be extremely upsetting. If the damage is just cosmetic and the watch is running fine, then I’d say just leave it alone if it doesn’t bother you that much.

Not sure what you meant by opposite side of the clasp but if the damage is superficial and it is keeping time I would wait until the first service and evaluate again.

I second this. Sorry to hear about the incident though :(. It’s a brand new watch so obviously you’re on high alert to avoid damages but they’re just very expensive tool watches that are bound to see wear and tear regardless. I’d just view it as you expedited the “break in” process ;).

I would make sure it’s keeping time after a few weeks. If it’s within COSC specs your all good

If it's keeping time good, I wouldn't worry until next service.
