Superocean Steelfish X-Large
Ok guys I have a real hankering for one of these babies! I have wanted one for a while now and think it is time to pull the trigger... are there any owners out there that could give me some insight as far as wearabilty for a watch this size? Comfort level? The bracelet looks very sleek and well put together from my experience wearing one at an AD.
Please bring on those pictures!!!

I think wearability should not be a problem I wear a Rolex DSSD and CX 20000 pretty regularly. They are really big. I suggest you try it at an AD and decide for yourself

I got one a few months ago. With the deployment strap it sometimes digs into my wrist. With the stainless bracelet it is very comfy. When you go to your AD try on all the combos until you find one you like. I went in to buy a black dial and ended up buying the champagne instead.

Well in terms of MM size you may want to try it on first.....i have an invicta OG and that's 47MM, but it does look good and feels good on the wrist, robust and classic..

Ok thanx guys I took your advice and did get a chance to try it one on and even compared it to the Super Avenger and I did really like the Superocean! Big for sure but not a stick off the wrist kind of big like the SA was for me... I really like the blue dial but black would be a close second and even the champagne works for me as well. The new style bracelet is very rugged and classy looking with a very comfortable fit as well. My AD gave me a pretty good price but I will be checking the used market for a real deal... any idea what the ball park amount for a newer Superocean would be?

Is this watch any bigger than the 'standard' Superocean Steelfish?

Steelfish
Speaking from experience, this watch is a total homerun. You do get used to the weight and height after awhile. I felt like I was going to round off every door-jam and doorknob the first week but that soon passes. The fit and finish on this watch is equal if not better than any Rolex I have owned. In fact much better accuracy in all positions compared to my Submariner. The bracelet is un-arguably better than most brands out there.
The SuperOcean seems to be running about $2600 on steel and the Steelfish is currently at $2900 on steel. Good Luck! |

I recently sold mine. While I really liked it, I did find it to be pretty heavy. I think I weighed it at 220 grams with the bracelet if I remember correctly. By the end of the day, I was feeling the weight.

I personally had one for about a month or so, had the blue dial version.
The hour markers, IMHO are a little too shiny (12, 9 and 6) so there are times the bright sun reflects back on those hour markers; It is a nice heavy watch, good heft to it. This point is a matter of personal preference, but I find that the Pro I is more comfortable than the Pro II. Also, the Pro II doesn't have a diver's extension. Other than that, its a great time piece. Here's a wrist shot of it when I had it.

make sure you have the wrist size to handle it, its a pretty big wear. the thick caseback lifts the case away from the wrist a little bit, and just annoy me enough to let go of mine.
and the rubber strap doesn't fit smaller wrist size |

Breitling superocean
I find the Superocean Steelfish very comfortable. In my opinion, comfort of this or any larger watch depends on how well the bracelet fits. Really does not matter what kind of band it is. I prefer a bracelet, Nato, rubber then leather in that order.

Super ocean steelfish
Had mine for 3 years in feb have to say at first thought it was the best watch ever. Then came the problems only after 6months it stopped and also there was a small mark on the inside of the glass, sent it off and 4 weeks later got it back all was well untill a year later sent it back for the same problem it stopped. Got it back all was well until 2 weeks after the warranty ran out sent it back then got a bill with it for repairs which I thought would still be under warranty but no had to pay so still a sore point with me. 2months later got my submariner and have to say the sub is a much better watch overall.
