DJ41 real size
I recently heard, as is the case with the Daytona, that the DJ41 is actually less than 41 mm as is the Daytona's 39 instead of 40.
Could anyone confirm and what's its real size? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone X using Tapatalk

So it's actually 39.5? Wow, and me who was avoiding that model because it's over 40mm. In other words, it's smaller than a Sub... Sent from my iPhone X using Tapatalk

If the Datejust 41 is 39.5 mm -- as measured with digital calipers in other threads -- is there any wrist for which it is too large?

My DJ 41 next to my 114060. The sub looks and wears larger.

If you want to use a ruler to measure the watch, put it under the watch, diagonally from 2<->8 orientation, and make sure your camera is directly (perpendicular) above it.

Anyone have the actual Dimentions of an Explorer (214270)? Interested in the lug to lug for the DJ41 and Explorer.

I have a DJ41 and it is 39.5 BUT the dial is bigger than my GMT II because the bezel is not as wide.
The dial is therefore seriously readable and the look is balanced. Same with 216470 Explorer I think though that is correctly labelled as 39mm. I have no idea why they call the DJ41 a "41" because it isn't. I just like it. |

I disagree, I think the Daytona and DJ41 are perfectly sized. The Daytona in particular is a mechanical marvel. Rolex managed to put one of the most sophisticated and reliable chronographs in such a small and universal package. If you want a bigger Datejust, go for the DJ ll. It's slightly closer to 42mm.

Keep in mind also that the bezel on a sub or GMT is wider than the actual watch case, so looking straight down on the wrist it seems bigger than it is.

It doesn’t wear too big or small though. I like it much better than the original 36, fits perfect imo.
