5167 on a bracelet?

Hi All,

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the 5167 with a bracelet. Do you prefer it on rubber? Would you rather have a bracelet? Or is the answer to have both?

I bought it with rubber. Can my AD order a bracelet or must it come with one to get it?

I think the intention of the watch is the strap to be rubber. I think the bracelet is cool, but if you have Rolex with bracelet on your stable then you really don’t need to buy a bracelet for it. Let’s say all you have is the 5167 and a dress watch on your stable then yeah it makes sense to add a bracelet.

I've had both and ended up wearing it on the rubber. The bracelet is nice but it isn't as nice or ergonomic as the nautilus or a rolex or royal oak bracelet. Also with the large square links it is a bit on the feminine side.

The bracelet makes the watch a bit weird looking in my opinion but i agree with the others, this watch / the 64 are built to be on a strap only.

I’m not a fan of that bracelet. I do, however, like the pictures of it on brown leather.

Don't like the bracelet. Rubber strap all the way.

I have kept mine on rubber. And bought on bracelet so I voted for both but really only wear rubber.

Voted for both. Mine was bought on a bracelet and got the rubber strap and clasp for it recently. Both wear really comfortably on my wrist.

The reason most people wear the 5167 on the rubber strap is that the bracelet version costs $3K more. Imagine if you could get a 5711a for $3K less without the bracelet, most people would wear it that way, too. And the complaints about the 5711 clasp are endless: it's tinny, hard to open, needs to be updated.
The bracelet made for the 5167 is probably the most robust SS made by Patek. It has an idiot proof invisible clasp and the polished and brushed links echo the case finishing. The fact that it doesn't taper makes it very comfortable and more masculine. The weight of the bracelet gives the 5167a the substantial feel of a true sports watch. The only downside is that I find myself neglecting my Nautilus.

Love mine on rubber, but the leather strap photos have tempted me.

There no wrong choice...... The 5167 is a truly fun sport timepiece.....

My vote on the poll is "Give me both" but I would go further and add a crocodile leather strap with pin buckle or Calatrava cross deployant clasp....

As for me I mention this many time like a broken record in my past posts......

Another thing you will love the bracelet more than the strap, trust me......

Having both bracelet & strap is a Win Win situation.....

As I mention this many time to members and friends here is to get the 5167 bracelet version... Later on in the future, if you want then get the optional rubber strap & deployant clasp....

If you buy 5167 on rubber you can not buy the bracelet for it later... Some member here regret for not buying the bracelet version....

I told them my honest opinion that the bracelet is comfortable than the rubber strap......

It great to have both and I know many members & friends who have both and prefer the bracelet for comfort.....

Rubber strap if you want the icon look....

Having both options is a win win situation but if I could only have one it would be the bracelet version....

Hope this help....

5167 is the only Patek Philippe watch that can be change to 3 different type of Patek Philippe original equipment manufacturer strap such as bracelet, rubber, and crocodile leather strap with pin buckle or Calatrava cross deployant clasp....

Need to say more....

Check out our dear members awesome pictures.......

Rubber only for me, I've ordered a blue strap for mine so that is the way to change up the look.

Voted both as the 5167 would replace my current daily SS beater for which I also have strap and bracelet. I have always liked the 5167 on rubber but the 5167 on bracelet has grown on me recently, thanks to some great pics here, see above...

I got to try the bracelet before putting my order down at an AD and loved it. So thought why not have both. Yet to try the rubber on mine but do look forward to it. Already have the strap and clasp. Just waiting for a bit more heat before switching :)

definitely agree it depends on what else is in your collection, but if the choice is between one or the other the strap to me is a no brainer!

Will AD order a bracelet if it’s originally bought on rubber?

I have mine in brown tropical rubber strap. The brown color rubber looks alike black strap most of the time

The PP 5167/1A-001 (bracelet version) is the one I'm probably going to add next.

I've read that you can easily change to a rubber strap, so my plan is to purchase with bracelet, then source PP rubber strap.

I've always preferred bracelet, but with this reference, I'd be more given to give it a try on the rubber strap as well, it looks stunning either way, figure can't go wrong getting the bracelet version then.

The move was to buy brac and add rubber. Probably costs more to do the reverse move.
I didn’t wear mine enough on the bracelet to give it a fair chance - I switched to rubber shortly after purchase as that’s the “look” for the aqua. Now if I’m you and want to add the steel I would sell yours for mkt value then ask A different AD for the bracelet model. Then you have a value play on your hands

Ditto.....^^^...

I feel that the rubber strap is kind of played out now....

I'm been getting a lot of compliment on the bracelet version lately......

Maybe I should wear the 5167 on bracelet and also wear the Patek Philippe rubber wristband like SDDS did......

Not sure if you read my post # 11 It already had been answer.....

The country where I live is "NO"....

If you got the bracelet version you could order the rubber and the deployant clasp....

Not sure what country you from..... It's best to call or visit your AD.... I'm sure they have the answer for you......
