I have seen a few on here. 37mm is definitely not women's size especially when the 15400 wears so big.

Men do wear it. Especially if they have wrists smaller than 7 inches.

depends. Im 6'5 and although i have fairly average wrists, on my body frame, its lady sized. Thats not to say others can't pull it off just fine depending on how tall you are or what sized wrists you have. If i was 5'6 i would probably prefer it.

I need to try it on but my gut says it will look great on 7" and under wrist.

I've seen a couple incomings here from guys with this reference IIRC. I definitely think men can get away with wearing it if your wrist is smaller. My Bro has a smaller wrist than me and the 15400 looks big on him, he tried the 15450 once at the ad and looked totally fine.

More and more, we are seeing "ladies' size" become just "small size." More and more women are donning 40mm sport watches. My wife used to wear the tiniest Datejust I've ever seen. I swear it was about 15mm - at least that's how it seemed to my tired old eyes. Useless for actually telling the time. She eventually coopted one of my Omega Seamasters.

Hey Guys as you remember few decades ago basically all watches were smaller than 40mm. My first watch was my father's Omega Seamaster from early 70's. Its 34mm. Pretty much standard during that time. its only during this new millennium that under 40mm is "ladies".

15300 (39mm) wears a tad bigger than my Daytona and that's size & symmetry perfection for me.

I have small wrists and tried on the 15450 and LOVED IT! Much more than the 15400 for me.

I have smaller wrists (6.75") and tried on the 15450. It didn't look bad, per se, but a couple things were "off" for me and convinced me to try and find a 15300 instead.
One, I'm 6'1" so the proportion of watch to my frame wasn't right. I think a shorter guy could pull it off much better than a taller one like me. Two, the taper on the bracelet was too much. I don't know wat the exact dimensions are, but the width at the clasp is noticeably smaller on the 15450 vs the 15202 and even more so vs the 15400. I think AP went a little far and it ended up looking dainty on my wrist, even though the dial/case was OK. Hope that helps.

With so much talk on wrist size here, hardly no one talks about body frame which is more important in most situations. My wrist could handle a 37-39mm watch but my 6'5 frame can't. I tried on my wife's 35mm yacht master one time and it was terrible looking. Its "mid sized" too, so its unisex. But, it "looked" like a ladies watch on me. Thats not the same as me saying it IS a ladies watch. |

100% agree that wrist size is not everything. Body frame is so important. For me, I'm 6'3, with 6.75" wrists. I'm also not super skinny, 205 lbs. I wear 40-42mm on a daily basis.
So even though I have small wrists, the proportions of the 15400 look correct on me. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
