1973 - 1601 Datejust grey dial - No lume???

Hi guys, my first post so please be gentle . Ive just purchased a 1973 Datajust Rolex with a grey dial (photos taken of actual watch from website that it was bought) As you can see from the photos there are no lume spots on the dial or on the hands? I've not come across one of this era that says 'T Swiss T' with no tritium at all on the watch. Is this a genuine dial/hands? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No problem from what I can see - there are non lume dial/hands versions out there, they're just a little more scarce.

Congrats and enjoy!

Sorry, But why would it say "T Swiss T" on the dial if there was no tritium on either the dial or hands?

Probably because it was much more economical to have ALL dials with tritium markings, whether lume was to be applied or not.

You're very lucky to have found this unit. Congrats and the dial will continue to look awesome in the years to come.

This was my thought I've had a bit of a google search & there are a couple more examples of a none lume dials with the same markings. But it must be said not many so like it's been mentioned they maybe a little more scarce. Thanks for the replies guys

Thanks for the comments guys! This watch was original from my father, my intention is to have it always in the same conditions that it is today. I've never use it.

Sherbie: I was searching for the exact same thing and i found this topic: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=232904
