Ted Su Golden Croc Belly Review
Just got this strap in two days ago, so I figure I'd give y'all my initial impressions. It's pretty comfortable from the get go and I'm enjoying the light color, although I can see people not liking how golden it is. From what I've seen, it ages well, so I look forward to giving everyone an update when it gets a little patina.

I like the color. Its a warm color and stands out from the typical sand brown.

Have to agree that this is good value for money! Works well in 26mm too. Enjoy your new strap.

That's a handsome strap. And to all three who posted pics so far - great shots! (especially love the dome in that last pic, the distortion on the "6" is killer!)

Here's how it will patina over time...
I agree its a great strap. Here's a side by side view of one that patina quite nicely next to a brand new one. Unfortunately I lost the one on right :(

That's a great strap. Congrats!!
Ted Su straps are great imho. Had a baby croc made for my DSSD that I put on for dressy occasions and I gotta say the combo looks fantastic and has attracted attention too. |

Very nice echau and thanks for the extra pics guys! I'm trying to decide if this is a potential alternative to the more costly OEM JV as it has a somewhat similar look to it.

They are pretty different straps and over time, the JV will look completely different. If you want a JV, go for that one, IMO. |

btw, if you want to see what a patina'd JV looks like, click here. to me, it's gorgeous, but, if you want a lighter/more yellow color that does not patina, consider the ted su. |

Oh yeah, that's the good stuff. That patina is exactly why I've lusted after the JV for so long. The Su is gorgeous, and the pics do make it look like it darkens a bit over time, but at this point the JV is a too-long itch.
Thanks again, I'm sold. Now I just need to find one. |

Last night I decided to use some of that Dr. J's leather cream I got from Micah when I ordered my Mauser strap. Rub, let dry over night, and buff. The strap definitely got a bit darker. I like it! What do y'all think?

The darkened effect definitely makes it look warmer and broken in. Very nice!

The cream does make it a little darker or more "aged" look. I like it.
