Vintage Baguette Dials?

When did Rolex start offering full baguette dials for the Day-Date?

I have seen a few genuine factory examples from the '80s through the '90s but they seem extremely hard to come by. None of the old master catalogs seem to list them though there are genuine old examples floating around.

For example there's this black baguette dial:

And this silver baguette on a platinum DD:

Were they a special order item back then?

The earliest full 11 baguette dials I’ve seen are “T SWISS T” manufactured by Singer for 18000 models which would suggest the late 70’s, but likely 80’s.

I’ve never seen a full 11 baguette dial on a 1800 Day Date model, but there are plenty partial 2 baguette dials for the 1800 models.

This 18239 seems to have original papers that specifically note the MOP baguette dial:

I've also noticed many of the older baguette dials had lume plots whereas the later ones are non lume. Personally I think the non lume dials look much better.

There's also these Tridor full baguettes both from the early '90s.

What I'm also curious about is that none of the old master catalogs seem to list a full baguette dial despite them obviously existing back then.

I don’t know what’s in the master catalogs, but these photos are pretty clear about some available 18000 dials IMO.
I mentioned earlier I have never seen a 10 baguette 1800 Day-Date dial, only 2 baguette combo dials were for early 1800 models from what I’ve seen.

Maybe I stand corrected.
Did a search and found some scarce examples of 10 baguette 1803 dials, so they do seem to exist on some level.
Would love to see a 10 baguette 1803 in person so I can feel like I saw Big Foot with my own eyes.

I wonder how much these full baguette dials cost back then.

Given their rarity now they were either not popular or very expensive.
