Icon5 Anyone ever do this...

Loop your watch around your windshield wiper arm before going through a car wash?

Think I might try it with the spot free rinse.

Actually it's just the best. If it doesn't get cleaned they let me take it through again free until it does.

Once it flew off but since I was able to find it and take it back and the car back through again for free. I tell you it''s just the best.

I normally put the window down just enough to hold my arm out with watch attached.

This way I can choose which parts of the wash treatment the watch receives and which it doesn’t.

The rolling brushes can cause terrible scratching.

Looped mine around the Spirit of Ecstasy on my bonnet.
Worked so well, I've decided to leave it there.

Had my rear wiper almost torn off in the carwash on Monday. Got it fixed at the Volvo Dealer and the cost covered by the carwash within 20min though.

Won't be attaching my watch to that, bit risky.

I get my Butler to hold it while walking after the car in the car wash. You may think it cruel to use the Butler but I don't charge him for the cleaning of his uniform.

Great ideas everyone, I usually just throw mine in the washing machine and put it on a long wash... It makes a lot of racket in the dryer though.

I never heard of putting a watch on a windshield wiper before going through a car wash, or washing machine. I use household soap, and water.

When I see neighborhood kids headed to the pool, I snap it onto one of their pool noodles, and ask them to just put it in the mailbox on the way back. They usually get it back in my mailbox or my neighbor's, and he always brings it back because he doesn't like PM watches.

Don't put your watch in the dryer after washing it. Are you crazy? Just bake at 450 for 35 minutes.

I never take my cars to a car wash. Most rolling brushes leave micro scratches on the paint, some don't. But most importantly my low profile tyres won't offer enough protection against the rails which can seriously damage the rims. As for watches, I gently hand-wash them. No need to have rolling brushes knocking them against the windscreen or risking throwing them off the wiper.
