I think that's why it always languished as a model leading to 2 separate discontinuations and subsequent re-inventions.

Now Rolex has 3 distinct models of diver watches.
The DSSD(technology powerhouse) with a thick curved Crystal, no Cyclops and an exclusive Clasp.
The SD43 that's a nicely up-scaled version of a sub that exclusively comes with a Cyclops. A fully optioned up model as it were.
And the smaller Sub that has date/no date option.
Do the graduations on the Sub and Subdate bezels meet the ISO requirements to be classified as a diver?
From an engineering box ticking excercise.

SD43 owners - would you modify/change your watch?

Don't bust my sore subject right now. I'm still waiting on mine from
My AD and I am #1 on the list and that isn't a lie. They have 3 LVs a ceramic Daytona in the back, and every SS model but still no SD43. But it was in October 08 when I got my DSSD and I was #1 then too. Welcome
To Alabama. In NJ I got my watches fast. But considering my boat issue prob not going to hurt to be a month or so.

Admittedly it wasn’t for me.

There aren’t really any mods that would make it work for me to be honest.
