Dealer sure tempted me today

So I go in before they open the store at the request of the owners. I needed to replace one of my Seiko's I had previously given to my son. I am a regular customer and have bought many items from them in the past and negotiate the prices I pay all the time.

The owners grown son the General Manager showed me the Rolex case(as usual) quietly said, I have tremendous incentives to move some of my DJ's and other Rolex's, not all models but those we have in stock that may get a dial upgrade this year. He said buy them and if I don't like a dial he can replace it. All I can say is the prices made me almost gasp!

So check out your local AD and talk to them.

May be a specific AD that is looking to move some inventory.

I wonder how that would fly with Mrs Van D if I spent all my savings on a box full of Panerais! I think my derriere would be yielding to her left boot!

Beards Jewelry in Lufkin. TX. He pointed out a couple of DJ's and a few other models. Prices were too low to mention but im sure if one called and asked he would be happy to discuss.

Too low to mention?

What's the worst that could happen if they mention the price...they'd sell a watch?

AD may get in trouble with Rolex. We can't forget this is a public forum on the internet.

In my opinion, there aren’t many bad dials in the datejust line, I would be very tempted. A future dial upgrade would not bother me assuming the dial I got really spoke to me. Now a better clasp on a datejust would give me clasp envy!
