No, you're not. I glance at my watch more to admire it rather to know what time is it. And i often forget what time it was because i get caught up in staring at it again

I feel better reading all these replies! When a meeting drones on and on I find myself getting lost in the craftsmanship and art of this amazingly beautiful tiny machine on my wrist. I feel a bit foolish but the damned thing gives me so much pleasure and delight.

You're not alone because I like to see watch not just for learning what time it is

I do like the way that my watches appear and do admire them from time to time.

If reading glasses are off, mostly checking the time. If they are on, mostly admiring the watch. All a matter of focus really

I could stare at the LV or LB for 20 seconds and not know what time it is. In fact, if I want to know what time it is, I usually have to look twice:
Look down, admire,
look up, 'what time was it?', oh,
look down again and notice the time.
