I'm guessing because you seem to be very uneducated. 1) calling the watch a lemon when you've only had 2 servicing in 10 years is dumb and 2) calling it a lemon when you had it serviced by a private watchmaker and not Rolex.

So you calling your Rolex a lemon is completely foolish and unsupported. And it adds nothing to the forum.

That's my guess?

Maybe in those two hours the conversation went downhill.

I had a similar thing happen to one of my posts concerning a polarizing political figure and his IWC.

Everyone in the Rolex section lives and breathes Rolex. We all love it. And you decide to pop in and say "Rolex has poor craftsmanship" and you support it by saying you've only had 2 servicing in 10 years and u used a private watchmaker in Saudi Arabia and not Rolex. Lol, Does this make any sense to you?!

I'm a rolex owner as well... My loyalty goes to good products and not brand names and i did take my watch to rolex authorized dealer in saudi... You do realize that rolex is being sold around the globe and only in us

I paid good money for my watch and questioning the quality of my purchase should not offend any objective person

Lemon watch? Why was my post deleted

From someone who lives in the area and has been living here for a while, I would NOT send my watch to be serviced in the local Rolex Service Center, let alone an independent.

Bad decision if you ask me.

In fact, Rolex owners I know around here make a request to have their watch sent to the RSC in Europe.

Yeah, you won't find it. The moderators removed it. It wasn't meant to be political in anyway and I stated as such... but, you can't control the comments that come in after word. I'm assuming that's what happened.

Just buckle up for some of the responses you are going to get. You are stating things that are not popular and will have to argue your point. be prepared!

Not sure why it was deleted.

It is perfectly fine and acceptable to not drink the Rolex Cool Aid.

I've not seen your original post so I can't help explain why it got deleted. However, there are pretty tight guidelines as to what you can and can't post about.

If it was unnecessarily inflammatory, that could certainly do it.

Saw your original post – decided the dial was “suspect”, and figured you hadn’t had the repair work done (after smashing it into a heavy door) by Rolex, because you knew that Rolex wouldn’t touch it with that dial

Your complaint seemed to be about build quality of the aftermarket dial, and the independent servicing – both of which are nothing to do with Rolex

Now the above is just the impression I got from your post, and you can call me names if you wish to – but if others shared my opinions, that thread would have quickly turned into a train wreck – so I’m guessing the mods 86’d it before that could happen

And if I had another guess – this thread is heading the same way ……

If you last long enough, you will soon learn that apart from the many wonderful facets of this forum, that unfortunately far too much time is dedicated to the slapping of each other on the back and saying how wonderful each other's watches are. Critical comments, valid or not, about anything, are not generally welcomed.

I did not read the OPs thread, so I cannot comment, but everyone benefits from constructive criticism.

I think one area where the Mods could improve is that they should give a reason for closing or deleting a thread. It at least provides guidance for newer members.

Regards

Mick

There were questions about the watch in the image.

How old is it?
Who did the service?
Why is there engraving on the rehaut?
What happened to the bracelet clasp?

I asked if it was serviced by a RSC and got a yes answer but I know Rolex would never have touched that watch.

Lots of odd comments on this thread

I didn't see the original post but find it unusual that one would try to challenge the forum decision having only a single post.

The behavior does lead me to question your earnestness.

After seeing the single image it was clear there was an issue and it was not a lemon.
