I think I'm going to the Rolex boutique tomorrow to purchase the Rhodium fluted on jubilee. I'm having a hell of a time trying to find the blue sticks at ADs though. I've been to every rolex AD in the chicagoland area, and nobody has had any to compare. Anyone else have this problem?

Love this black dial with sunburst effect. Dark Rhodium is a favorite also, but for me I like the contrast of the black. I really don't think there is even a mediocre DJ41 dial/bracelet/bezel combo, though. My favourite is the Oyster/Fluted combo:

I have a couple of OP34s, and both have the smooth bezel. And I love both of those watches. But I am really looking to expand my small collection soon.

So thanks to this post, I went out and did my field trip and try to find as many DJ41 as possible today. Here are what I got.

I think I have pretty much decided to go for the grey dial with oyster bracelet. I am torn between oyster and the jubliee. But I tjink I will enjoy the Oyster a lot with the more sporty looks and the variety of occasion I can wear it.

Whatever color get the fluted bezel. It looks so much nicer and it hides scratches ALOT more. The smooth bezel after 12 months it will be a scratch magnet.

Anyone else have the urge for one of these then pocket an old 16233 with champagne dial on the side for a touch of old school

Bought this last year. Would love to have another one in steel, blue dial/fluted bezel, oyster bracelet.

Yep, was looking to add a turn-o-graph at some point if I happen to pick up a white gold dj41

Which is a more timeless version? Steel fluted or tt? When I think datejust I always thought of two tone. The black dialed two tone has been catching my fancy.

TT fluted with champagne dial looks dressy. Black dial is more casual and subdued IMO. Tried on a WG fluted with black dial and it was beautiful. Never cared much about smooth bezel and I always pick jubilee bracelet on a DJ

It has to be the 126334 ref.
It’s beauty but I can’t find myself to pay full retail on any datejust.....they drop in price so much. I’ll wait a year or two and pick it up on the preowned market for a much cheaper price.

The 'problem' with this watch is that there are so many good looking combinations it is hard to pick just one. I've always wanted a blue stick... for many years. But the Rhodium looks great too. And then there is the added complication of Fluted or smooth, jubilee or Oyster. What am I supposed to do??? There is only so much money in the bank. Anyway, Blue stick, fluted, oyster or jubilee is at the top of my list. But it will have to wait until I have some more disposable income.

That's great. About a third of all the best combinations...

I also like the white with fluted. If it's smooth then it looks too much like a Milguass without the silly zigzag second hand.

I agree the rhodium is the best with fluted and jubilee for me, as I already have an oyster bracelet on another piece.

Although I think I will wait until Basel 2018 and see if any roman dials come out in SS. If not then the rhodium may have 5% discount by then.

So I bought a 126334 rhodium dial today. My girlfriend thought I should have purchased a two tone, because it would be dressier and much different from my 216570 Exp II. Her argument is that I have a casual sports watch and am trying to downsize my collection, which is true. I like the watch I purchased and a couple of the two tones pretty equally. Does she have a point?

You must realize that if you bought the two tone your post would have read “should I have bought the rhodium..I really liked it”

Bud, they are all beautiful. That’s the fun of it.
Enjoy the one you have. Relax.
Lucky you !
