I’ve purchased from this AD for past eight years roughly. Nothing crazy but I’ve worked the relationship with the SA. We text about watches and I stop in every few months to shoot the sh*t. He has surprised me every year around my bday (this time of year) with a watch I’ve been after. First was a Batman, then a white dial Daytona, last year a Pepsi, and this year an Aquanaut. Only other watches I’ve purchased over the years there have been two Speedmasters, a JLC, a GS, a Tudor, and a G-Shock.

My point is, IMO it’s not the amount of money spent, it’s the relationship developed. We have a great respectful relationship and he knows I’m a curator not a flipper. Sure I may sell something after awhile if I don’t connect with it, but I don’t buy to flip.
