Vintage AP question about John Shaeffer 258700

Lately I am getting more and more attracted to vintage AP. Such as this 33mm 258700

The question is: is this a full calendar, an annual or a perpetual? On different sites they give different descriptions. It looks like a full calendar.
But some (serious) sites, like Menta or AVW call it perpetual.

I’m no expert but without any 4th year / leap year indicator on the dial I can’t see how it could be a perpetual? But I love these vintage John Shaeffer cases as well. Timeless classic. Would have loved to see AP consider a refresh of either these or the Edward Piguet cases (slightly larger, maybe steel, modern straps, etc.) before committing down the Code path.

The absence of the leap year indicator says very little about it being a qp. There are a lot of examples that are infact qp’s without it.

I agree some classic designs would be welcome, but also love the code.

Interesting - learned something new today. But now I’m even more curious - how would one set it?

I guess a watchmaker would have to do that? Or just set it yourself. Don't know to be honoust.

Love these watches. You can get a FANTASTIC deal on a non-calendar version.
