Rolex 16610LV Flat 4 trying to see if I got scammed
Hi Guys,
I hope you are doing well, I recently purchased a Rolex kermit 16610lv from a guy in my local area and he sold it to me with a full set with and service warranty card that rolex done in 2018, I've got told that the bezel isn't matching the serial number which it has on the warranty paper and watch, it starts with f61, the bezel has a flat 4, lots of people are saying the flat 4s are only up to f54 serial and one guy is saying the bezel could be fake or some shit like that, I'm very concerned and want to find out exactly if anyone knows if I got caught or is it all good, the watch is like brand new just came from a service from rolex in 2018 so service stickers still on, the watch sale date on the paper warranty is 06/10/2004, |

Those pics are awful. Co-worker of mine got a 'flat 4' bezel put on his 'D' serial LV at service time from the Dallas RSC. It isn't a big deal really. Rolex has all kinds of different fonts for dials and bezels that they change throughout the years.

Need to discuss with Rolex to Get it sorted. From my observation of your not so great photos, Your photos indicate Mk I dial but the flat four is not for that dial it is for the second dial. But I have also seen that version of the flat four on that dial as well so best to consult Rolex.

I’m not an expert but It looks legit to me
The hands match the anniversary sub The Maxi dial matches a MK I flat 4 production with the oval “O” on Rolex, the 5 ticks under “Swiss made” I’ve always known that MK I stopped at F54 but a lot of those are internet revolving words which might not be the full truth Call a RSC, if the customer service rep is having a good day they can run the serial and confirm if it’s MK I or not Best of luck

Yes the flat 4 is for that dial. Flat 4 came for the MKI and MKII dials

Two different versions of the flat four bezel. Which one goes with this dial pictured, or did both versions of the flat four come on this dial?

The flat 4 was also on some of the D serial as well. All original / original owner so I can say this with 100% confidence.

Anybody who says that any particular attribute can be absolutely dated to a certain serial number is full of it.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, has seen every watch or combination that has come off the assembly line. In fact, in Rolex numbering system, an LV with a serial number of F54xxxx could have been followed by an LV with a serial of F61xxxx, with all the numbers in between being put on Datejusts.

Then if you are correct, our OP may have the wrong bezel because it appears in the photos to be a flat four non serif bezel but MKI dial? He would have to verify with Rolex what configuration his serial watch would have, But I have seen MKI dials with the flat four non-serif bezel. Maybe his serial is a MKI dial with the second bezel, and the watch is correct. Can't wait to get people posting, do I have real Kermit Ceramic.

Yes it has been reported on forum many inserts have been replaced at service by a flat four type insert, but insert colour slightly different from the early release ones.

I don't think the F54 argument is a solid one, as noone really knows what Rolex did/does. That's just what we, as a community, conclude based on reports from people like us. If anything your example, bought in Dubai, shows flat 4s up to F61!
