Sunlight Patina

Those who love the patina look, anyone leave their insert out in the sun/windowsill for long periods as an experiment? I live in a climate with long summers and often hot, I was thinking of possibly leaving an insert on the windowsill all summer and see what happens. Crazy?

It might fade slightly, but not much UV gets through modern windows TBH.

Pal of mine tied his to his tomato plants for a season or two in a polytunnel back when they were just £25-30 in 80s....it did a good job, and tomatoes were nice too :-) Now you'd need an armed guard for the Tommies !
