Canadians - where do you go for AP?
I'm looking at getting an AP at some point in the future, but AP is not available in Canada (there were a few ADs many years ago such as RdV in Toronto but no longer).
Which boutique would you recommend -- LA, Las Vegas, NYC, or Chicago (or any others), and how was your experience purchasing from them? I do travel a fair bit for work, so late last year I managed to visit the Chicago boutique - they only had a code 11.59, and nothing else. I'd expressed interest in an ROO diver, and the double balance wheel open worked (15407) - they said the diver was possible, but that the boutique did not get more exceptional pieces such as any of the open worked pieces. They took my info down but have heard nothing since. Also, if you have purchased a watch from the US, what was the duty rate for importing the watch? Thanks! |

The first issue I would say was talking about an impossible piece such as the 15407, that could make you look like a flipper. The second issue would be not getting in touch with them since the visit a year ago just to see how things are going, if they received some display pieces you could take a look at, etc. I understand you need to travel on purpose there, but if you are travelling anywhere nearby it would be a good idea to get in touch and just pass by. |
