How big is the Daytona 126500 ?
To me, the new Daytona 126500 looks slightly bigger than the Daytona 116500.
My 116500 measures ~ 38.7mm Some are saying the 12 is about 1mm larger than the 11 Some say that the 126500 is the same size as the current PM Daytonas on OysterFlex. Does anyone have the actual measurements of a PM Daytona (116518/19 etc.) ? |

Hopefully Rolex can make a 40mm Daytona?

The only thing I’ve seen so far where anyone has attempted to put an actual number on it is in the Adrian Barker (Bark and Jack) video he put out from W&W, when he says (rather confidently) that the 126500 is now 1mm larger to become a true 40mm.
Now, he didn’t have the watch in hand at the time, so it could be just his own speculation, or it could be nothing more than the general rumour around the place, or he could have actually spoken to a Rolex rep - who knows. So until someone gets the callipers out it’s all just guesses and speculation. I for one really hope it is a genuine 40mm now.

For me the same would be fine with the previous measures.

Still listed as the same diameter but it appears to wear a bit bigger than the 116500 from pics and videos I've seen. We'll see..

Adrian Barker said that the new precious metal Daytons were reduced in size and the stainless steel Daytonas were increased in size by 1mm. Now they are the same size. In another video he said that he was told this by someone in Rolex but wouldn’t say who because he didn’t want to get anyone in trouble.

Hopefully it will be increased at least by 1mm, if not to completely 40mm to be taken seriously as an improved version of a Professional series model in today's market. It would be a big disappointment if it stayed the same. It's been too small for too long!

just measure the case size of an OF daytona, compare it with that of a daytona 116500, then you will know.

It looks blockier so should “wear larger”.
Can’t wait for the myriad of incorrect caliper measurements |

Saw a recent YouTube video “link bellow” stating the new Daytona is actually 40mm compared to the 38mm of the old model. He also state that the new Kermit green has been changed in hue, now it’s brighter! https://youtu.be/XCoA9r180jk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have searched the internet, and threads herein, and have not been able to find actual measured dimensions for the, on OysterFlex, ceramic bezel, 116518, 116519, etc.
Has anyone seen those measurements, or made them themselves, of their own watch ? |

I've owned a 116515 and own a 116509. They are not, and never have been 41mm watches. I believe they are a couple of tenths under 40mm.

Better be bigger. The old one had become a defacto ladies watch.

Yeah - so many women running around with it. Definitely not a staple of tons of male collections. You nailed it,.
I think the charm of the Daytona was the size in a sea of larger models. Not everyone has the wrist to appreciate larger examples. |

Lets face it, watches are trending smaller. I'll be honest my motivation is the scale on a smaller wrist. I hover at a little shy of 7 inches and I prefer smaller but not small watches. For me 36mm-40mm is a classic range. Some 40mm stuff wears too big even. Its a multi dimensional thing so I look forward to trying the new model.

It will be 1mm wider to bring it in line with the wg etc pm models
I expect it will measure 39.4mm - 39.6mm Seems to be 0.5mm thinner according to Hodinkee |
