126334 vs. 126710BLNR

I hope to get your opinions on my collection and any potential additions. As some of you know, I am looking at purchasing another watch for an upcoming milestone. I originally expressed interest in the Milgauss last October. My AD told me I would get the next incoming model. As everyone knows, it got discontinued this week.

I have an ND 41 Sub and a Tudor BB41 (Black). I want to get something on a Jubilee bracelet that is somewhat blue. I mostly wear different shades of blue. What are your thoughts on the 126334 Blue Stick vs. 126710BLNR?

Both are very nice references. The DJ will wear a bit smaller than the GMT and is perhaps a bit more dressy and less similar to your Submariner

Good luck

Since you have a Sub, I'd diversify a bit and go with the blue dial DJ on Jubilee.

I can’t believe I am going to say this. I had both and really liked both, but the BLNR is too similar for me to the sub. Go datejust, plus it has a better slimmer case.

I have a Sub41 and Dj41 fluted/jubilee. I think the GMT sort of sits in the middle between to two. I love both and in no way is the DJ41 some sort of inferior or 'starter' Rolex.

In your position I would definitely suggest the DJ (assuming you are looking at a 41) for the variety.

'The Market' would tell you BLNR. There's a reason why it sells for 75% over MSRP. Ask for it and settle for the DJ in the meantime. The wait time for BLNR is seemingly forever....

PS. JRell you should have let me know you were ditching yours!

I know man - I actually thought of it. Issue is my AD gave me a good price plus the 126610LN new at MSRP, so I would have lost that option.

Brian how do you like the Pepsi and 124060 combo? Do you think it is versatile enough for everyday wear? I’m an engineer so I don’t dress up often.

I really like it Giovanni

These two are really perfect together for me, and give enough of a "dress" option if needed.

I don't even own a suit so they're perfect for me

I added my ultimate chronograph this past year as well to complete my land sea air trio. I should probably just sell all the rest

Thanks for the input Brian. I think I will probably go with the GMT. My Dad is more old fashion and figures the DJ would be a better option. I don’t even remember the last time, I wore a suit.

I'm just giving you a hard time Seems like you hit two birds with one stone at the AD. (Fact is, as individuals these watches are not as liquid as we'd like to believe, so a solid offer from a dealer is very helpful.)

The Batman on Jubilee is my next purchase but I have a 16234 blue Roman dial Datejust.

In your collection I would add the Datejust next. Even though you think it’s a dressy option you can rock it with jeans and a T shirt no problem. There’s a reason it’s been in production for so many decades. It’s timeless.

I think you have to try the DJ41 on. While the GMT will wear similar to the sub, the DJ41 wont. I've always loved the look of the fluted bezel + jubilee bracelet in fotos but every time i tried one on I was left unimpressed. I much prefer the professional models.

DJ would be nice, but since you don't have a BLNR or better yet a BLRO, perhaps it is better if you get one of those on jubilee. Yes the overall feel of the watch will be similar to your 124060, but since you said you are more casual than dressy I think they will be a better choice.
