Pre-owned advice

Close to a deal on a Cameron Deepsea 116660. The owner has links, tags, warranty card, boxes and bezel guard but not the instruction manual or warranty booklet.

My concern is how that affects value down the road in the unlikely event I need to sell.

The seller is local and we were connected via our AD so no concerns with authenticity.

Thoughts?

Not very much. Maybe $100 tops. Warranty card most important.

{EDIT} Just saw that the warranty card is included! {EDIT}

I'd say for such a new watch, it can actually be more than $100 depending on the market. There are many, examples of DSSDs with a complete set, so if one wants to buy yours in the future, lack of a full set will be the driving factor to lower the price. You won't be as competitive as the majority of the offerings, although your hit will be nominal.

Very easy to replace those.

Ask the AD that connected you guys to open the cupboards behind the display case and hand you a manual and warranty booklet.
Those are generic and don't come with the watch per se.

If you are trading through a trusted seller it will be worth $500.00. Yea I was surprised too but ask me how I know..... it’s either a “full set” or it isn’t. The new OCD Rolex buyer has pushed the expectations of what a preowned watch should include it’s bizarre.

We are reaching a point where the original dust on the box will be required as a full set.

It’s insane. Rolex watches that were purchased 25 years ago are now held to today’s ridiculous standards what a “full box” set is.

Because a resale by you is unlikely, the 2 booklets are meaningless. But as another post noted, ask that AD for help after you buy the watch. The manuals are locally added to the box by the AD.
