Jazztime or Jomashop

Would you buy a Patek or Rolex from Jazztime or Jomashop? I think both are grey market dealers and not certified Patek or Rolex dealers. I also think both dealers offer their own warranty but will a Patek or Rolex certified dealer service these watches after the grey market dealers warranty is done?

The manufacturer's warranty follows the watch.
It's likely the piece you obtain will have something other than US paperwork, so look elsewhere if that's an issue for you.
Neither shop would be my first choice but I'd consider purchasing a given piece from either at the right price.

Absolutely not.

Jazztime.... Never. Read their reviews.

Jomashop is fine for Oris, Hamilton, Tissot..etc

Patek Philippe have thier manufacturer warenty. Even if you buy the watch from grey market, as long as you have a dated certificate of origin (dated & stamped) and two years haven't passed then PP will honor that warrenty.
that is the message i got from the PP AD i buy from.
If you get grey market warrenty and it expires and you want to send your watch for service after that, PP will absoultly take it and fix it like anyother PP watch. you just have to pay the bill.
matter of fact PP prides themselves on there commitment to fix any patek philippe and restore it from 1839 until today. something not all watch manufacturers do

Several years ago I purchased a Rolex SeaDweller from Jomashop and, while it had no warranty papers, it was within the warranty period since the SeaDweller 50th had been made for only a couple of years. I had a slight problem and took it to the Rolex RSC in Dallas. They repaired it under warranty with no questions.

Certainly Rolex RSC would repair an authentic watch after the warranty period at your cost.

Jomashop was easy to deal with and delivery was prompt. Would not hesitate to purchase from them again if I did not want factory warranty papers.

Exactly this. $400 for a Hamilton Field Khaki is the most I'd ever spend with them.

But that said, from order to receipt, was 4 days.

The high-end stuff, absolutely not.

I’ve bought a couple of Citizen watches from Joma with good results. I would not dream of buying a luxury watch from them. For a Patek, mine is from an authorized dealer.

Thanks for the comments but can anybody give me some reasons why you wouldn't buy a Patek or Rolex from these grey market dealers? A buddy of mine purchased an expensive new Omega from Jomashop and said the deal went through fine and saved him several thousand dollars. I'm also pretty sure that he said that Jama had their own four year warranty and that Omega wouldn't warranty a watch sold through the grey market.

Jomashop is true grey market, they have their own warranty but you still can send your watch to that manufacture repair service center, you just have to pay for the service yourself.

Jazztime is secondary market, they get their watches from ADs, their watches come with manufacturer warranty cards, the date on the warranty card will vary depends on when they get it from ADs. You need to ask them what is the date on the warranty card.

Most of the times Jazztime do not have the watches that they advertise but they must have a lots of access from many ADs. When the customer want to purchase that particular watch, they will have to go to find from ADs that they have connection with, sometimes they can find , sometime they cannot. Some people had bad experience with them but some says they are OK. Their advertise price seems to be a good price but their reputation is not as good as their price.

Aside from the fact that they (JazTime) don’t actually have the watches they are trying to sell in their possession, where do you find examples of good prices from them? Looking at their website I couldn’t find one example where I thought the deal was worth dealing with them.

Thanks for the info! Would you personally buy a new Patek from Jomashop? I probably wouldn't deal with Jazztime but I might consider dealing with Joma.

Id probably try David SW first but I don't see why you wouldn't use Joma if they have something you want. Obviously AD is the preferred choice but if its not an option for you.

I would not but I have no experience with either one. I would contact one of the trusted sellers here to see if they can locate the watch for you. Another option is to try Watchbox.

For Patek I would not, as I want the factory papers - and note the resale value is substantially lower if one does not have these papers. I would buy from one of the trusted sellers here “with papers”.

You go look at their PP 5396R-015 brand new, price at $46499.

Where can you find the better price than this one?

I don't know that it will be available or not when you actually want to purchase it.

I think Jomashop is legit gray market but I have never bought anything from them.

I would rather acquire from the boutiques/ADs if the price is not much different. If the price from Jomashop is really good price at least 15% less, it might worth a try.

I think Jaztime will probably get you the better deal, but you should know exactly what you want and what you want to pay beforehand. No pleasantries or handholding, 100% transactional...but that isn’t always a bad thing if you know what you want. Jomasop you will pay more but they are customer service oriented and I suspect more considerate if an issue comes up...and sometimes they do. So it’s a balancing act of your priorities.

Joma is legit but they won't let you have the warranty card. As long as you're getting a deal such that an out of pocket service wouldn't put you over MSRP then it's ok.

Dont buy from jaztime..they are scammers. Sold me a 2019 missing a link and damaged box. When I called them to ask about it they just told me
its a used watch and to deal with it! Even though the listing
said 2019 unworn and no mention about the missing link or box.
